Negative experience: I’ve been disappointed with my experience at this gym. The opening hours are quite limited, there is a four week minimum freeze even for holidays, and visitor passes are expensive for people who just want to try the gym before committing. For the price point, I expected a more flexible and people focused approach.

Negative experience: Always sooo hot, and annoyed at the membership prices. I have been a loyal member here for over 3 years and cancelled my membership due to relocating. I come back in the summer holidays to see family and have to pay either $25 a day or $35 a week and that’s with a student discount! No acknowledgment of being a previous member, smith machine is always down. The gym I am a member of allows a free 3 days before needing to pay and allow you to bring in friends for free sessions before having to sign up. Much more encouraging way of getting members.

Negative experience: The gym itself is a great facility. Please read the fine print on your contract - break fees are exorbitant and they dont take personal context into consideration when debitting your account. They will ping you without empathy. Consider a different gym with more reasonable break fees.

Negative experience: The worst gym I’ve ever been to. Teenager boys everywhere and overpriced for minimal machines. Do not recommend

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. Cancelled my membership and had to pay the remaining cancellation fee and they still kept billing me after paying a cancellation fee.

Fantastic experience: Having moved gyms when I moved to this area, I was really impressed with the friendliness of the staff and also the patrons. There are so many classes to join, many different areas of the gym in which you feel comfortable with and a great friendly atmosphere. It is more expensive than other gyms, but I think it's worth it if you make use of the classes, gym and the pool area. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. The only thing I would like is 24 hr access by a tag...not to the pool area but to the main gym as 7pm at weekends and 9.30pm is hard if you do shift work

Negative experience: I cant believe the level of incompetency of this gym. Iv never known it to be so hard to try and pay a business. Even when I turn up with card in hand there staff turn me away. 2 months and they still dont know what way is up.

Positive experience: Only thing is the opening hours. If it can stay open one more hour later (close at 10:30) and open 1 hour earlier(open at 4:00 am) this would be the greatest gym of all time.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with fabulous facilities love the 1pm Pilates class on Weds with Linda she is an excellent Pilates teacher. I have attended quite a few different Pilates classes over the years this has to be one of the best.

Fantastic experience: All the equipment is practical and multifunctional, organized by purpose, so there’s no overlapping in movement. I also like how the various programs are scheduled by day and time. I don’t think the fees are expensive at all. It’s one of the best choices I’ve made while living in Tauranga. 푸

Feel like I have a “gym family” now. There is a range of machines, it is super hygienic and also includes an amazing sauna and plunge pool!

Fantastic experience: Great gym with lots of the usual fitness equipment. There are also supporting services, group classes and resident personal trainers. Members can also use the sauna and pools. Parking can be an issue at some times of the day.

Fantastic experience: A gym with everything you could every want. Love the variety of fitness classes available. Plus the Sauna/spa and punge pool are just a massive bonus. Highly recommend, I'm not going anywhere else!!

Negative experience: Good facility with a wide variety of equipment and classes etc included…. However, all someone is at this gym is a number. No loyalty to long standing members, but they’re happy to offer week free or free sign up for new members. If you go in the arvo, don’t expect any equipment to be put away and if it breaks it’s out of order for at least few months or thrown away, simply due to the lack of maintenance by staff (as easy as putting CRC on the Olympic Bars or tightening a chain in the bikes). Since new management has been on, most of the floor staff spend it behind the desk on youtube. The only reason I am still a member at this facility is for the plunge, spa and sauna.

Negative experience: I was a member of this gym for years however I was very rudely kicked out after my refusal to comply with showing a Vaccine Passport. After the mandates had ended, I approached this gym about continuing my membership however was told that I would have to pay a $20 joining fee. After being kicked out of their gym and being treated terribly by their staff at the time, it was a matter of principle for me and the least they could do was waive a $20 joining fee on a $1,500 a year membership. Unfortunately their management was unwilling to come to a compromise and made it clear that they do not value their long term clients in any way. You are just a number in a computer system to them, you are better off supporting a smaller local gym as I do now.

Negative experience: For a gym the staff couldn’t be more miserable - good range of equipment though. Also - they have music playing but trainers on the gym floor with their own music blasting through their own speakers - just so crazy.

Negative experience: They're sly with their membership plans, didn't tell me they had a minimum sign on time when I joined, Even though I expressed to the staff I was only there in Tauranga for less than 2 months as I am a student. Months later they slap me with a 560 dollar bill, which obviously I can't pay as I'm a student. Terrible experience and shame on you for exploiting a student.

Negative experience: Supposed to be an upper class gym, but there are still interesting characters that don’t fit in. Actual gym is great but not quite worth the money. The pools are nice and were recently “renovated” as well as the bathrooms. The pool renovations were just painting the pools and taking the sound absorbing panels off the roof so now you can’t hear anyone speak as it echoes at lot. The bathroom renovations are so bad and it took 6 weeks to do so we had no bathroom for 6 weeks and had no compensation. They always smell like poo also and are always dirty. Always old men staring at girls in the aquatic features.

Positive experience: Aspire is a great facility there is something for everyone, only negative is it can get busy and the car parking get full. We are lucky to have such a facility in our area.

Fantastic experience: Awesome space. Has a big variety of weight machines downstairs. Upstairs has resistance machines for those who want a more relaxed weight session. Theres also a cardio room spin bikes and a studio type room where classes get held upstairs. If your a paying member you have free use of the spa sauna plunge and pool area

Negative experience: Very dodgy service! When you finish your contract, they don't stop charging you. You have to go there in person to cancel it so it can stop charging. This is ridiculous! So the last 2 months I didn't even go there just because I thought the contract ended but I still got charged. When I told them this, I don't get the refund? Very terrible service. What kind of place in 2022 asks you to go to the front desk in person to cancel the membership to end the charging ? Why do I have to pay for the last 2 months? This is FRAUD!

Fantastic experience: Fabulous range of equipment and classes. Staff do an excellent job in their various capacities. All well trained. There is a very friendly feel to this business . Clients are acknowledged. Love going there. The Staff has managed Covid restrictions very well.

Even when the [very large] carpark is packed, it never feels too busy inside. SportsMed upstairs is great, Eimear does a great massage!

Fantastic experience: I've been Gym-ing for many years in various countries and have been going to Tauranga Gyms for 3 to 4yrs. My son and daughter inlaw persuaded me to come here. I rate this world class as it has more than all the essentials. The pricing is pretty good and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and people too. A great gym for all age groups.
