Tepid Baths

Positive experience: J'y suis allé pour la salle de musculation. Ma notation porte uniquement sur cette partie. L'équipement est ok mais si vous recherchez une ambiance un peu plus énergique se n'est pas le lieux. L'ambiance est pépère.

Negative experience: The place is ok but An old lady told the staff and us to move to another lane cause she's going to swin even though she can swin to the other swimming lane

Fantastic experience: My first time here and I LOVE the tepid baths! We came to Auckland for our first family Xmas (2025) in 18 years. I bought a week by week pass and it is SO reasonably priced! Clean and tidy facilities and the water is so refreshing! And great staff! Very friendly and helpful. Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: Here on holiday and was looking for a good pool as I’m a daily swimmer. The facility was beautiful, clean and had a great energy to it. The staff were amazing. I had left my phone in the car and my watch wasn’t allowing me to pay and the young gentleman working at the time was trusting enough to just let me through for a swim and come back in after to pay. It’s rare to find trusting people in this day and age and this young man really made my day by allowing me through.

Negative experience: Maps says it's open, *goes to pool* and it's god damn closed like if it's closed, tell me it's closed, not that hard

Fantastic experience: We’ve been taking our son to Tepid Baths for swimming lessons since he was one. I can’t recommend the teachers here enough! Akata is a superstar with babies and toddlers, and now my boy is with Finn for the preschool class — he’s amazing as well. One of the highlights here is that the pools are very well maintained; my son has never had any eye or ear infections after swimming here, which used to be my biggest concern. They also have a lane for kids to play in after their sessions.

Negative experience: Went there only to discover that they were under maintenance with no notification on the website

Fantastic experience: Wonderful early on Monday morning. Sad there are announcements over an intercom to spoil the peace and tranquility. Never used to be though! The Teps is a special haven in the city.

Fantastic experience: The cleanest of the leisure centres I visited. Warm water for kids, renewed spa and sauna rooms. Plenty of changing rooms for family. The only con is there isn't any family bathroom, just one for wheelchair.

Fantastic experience: The pool is clean, and the staff are friendly and alert. If possible, those accompanying children can enter for free.

Positive experience: Tepid Baths is a great facility overall, but the standard of cleanliness especially in the men’s toilets really needs improvement. The bathrooms don’t appear to be cleaned as thoroughly or as often as they should be, considering how many people use the space. I feel especially sorry for the kids who have to use them. General cleaning around the venue also seems to have slipped. For such a busy and well-used community facility, maintaining hygiene should be a higher priority. I hope this gets addressed soon, as the venue has a lot to offer otherwise.

Negative experience: Tepid Baths itself as a centre was great as the facilities were modern and clean. However, the customer service is atrocious, being led down by one particular staff member. I was enrolled in the Learn to Swim program and it took every bit of effort from myself to firstly even attempt to sign up for lessons. This involved me sending multiple emails, making multiple phone calls over a period of time and have also showed up in person on numerous occasions and none of those initiatives taken by myself had any progression in terms of getting myself signed up. I found this particularly disrespectful as I spent a considerable time out of my day to enquire about these lessons just to be told that “the person in charge of LTS is not here and that they’ll get back to me shortly” or just to have the call transferred to voicemail when you select the LTS option when calling. They never got back to me. When I eventually got signed up, every time I had a query and would email through, it would take multiple days to a week to get a response. When I did get an email back, it was as if that email was written by a child, with no proper punctuation, grammar or even a name signed off at the end for me to know who I was communicating with. Finally, when I decided to terminate my lessons, that was also not without hassle. I spoke to a kind receptionist who told me that while she could not cancel my lessons as she was not part of the LTS program, she would contact “Amanda” who would get back to me and notify me through email that my lessons were cancelled. That was over a week ago and still no email confirmation. Almost every staff member I encountered over there was actually respectful and helpful. Amanda on the other hand needs to find a new job and do something she actually likes doing. She has no place in customer service as she lacks basic respect, efficiency and loves shirking her responsibilities. Please find someone else to take over Learn to Swim.

Positive experience: The pool is fantastic and the bathrooms are clean. The only reason I am giving only 3 stars is because of misbehaving teens that I encountered quite frequently. Same teens, doing same stupid things and making other swimmers risky. Today, I found one of them pouring energy drinks into the swimming pool. A few days ago, one of them throwed a flip-flop to the swimming lady. They would dive onto you when you are swimming. They are so rude ,and the worst part is the pool staff are doing nothing to stop them. Look like these teens are invincible. Just be careful with these stupid teens.

Fantastic experience: Very clean facility. Clean pools, toilets and bathroom are also spotless. Spa and sauna deal is pretty good on the dollars. There’s a gym upstairs too if you want to have a quick work out and chill the spa afterwards.

Positive experience: A nice traditional swimming hall with decent pricing. The pool itself is 25 meters long, kid's pool maybe 15 meters. They just reopened the spa area, so I didn't experience the salt bath yet. They have built the sauna in a weird way: the electric stove comes from Savo region in Finland and is designed for proper water throwing on the stones (löyly), but Tepid Baths built an annoying wooden fence around it to stop people from throwing any. This means that you sit in a hot and _dry_ room, which is not the point of sauna, and makes the experience rather uncomfortable. I hope they reconsider taking down the fence so the Finnish stove could be used as it is meant and people could enjoy the sauna hot and humid:) The air ventilation is fortunately up to standards. The steam sauna is 2/3 of time cold and not too wet, 1/3 of time it is nice and warm when the steam comes out. They should keep the steam flowing all the time.

Facilities was very good, swimming pool safe & clean to swim in. Visited recently over 10+yrs later....Staff still Very Welcoming, Friendly and Helpful. Glad they're still open today..Great Lil gem in the City CBD!!!

Fantastic experience: Conveniently centrally located 25m clean, modern pool with a couple of nice enough saunas. Very reasonably priced. Seemed to be well-maintained and clean. The pool area is surrounded by lots of individual changing rooms, but there are communal ones as well. Note: I was warned on both of my visits to not leave stuff in the lockers, but bring them poolside so I can keep an eye on them. Probably due to some recent incidents of theft. Not ideal, but stuff was fine poolside.

Negative experience: slipping. all aquajoggong equipment is old frayed and buggered. why would you have the aqua jogging lane paired with "child play"?

Positive experience: We brought our Grandson for a swim bit the kids pool was exclusively for lessons. Disappointing. Our fault for not asking I suppose.

Fantastic experience: Hermosas las piscinas. Fui un día feriado con lo cual quizás no es representativo, pero la verdad no había mucha gente y se podía nadar perfecto. Tiene 7 andariveles bastante espaciosos y la gente respeta perfecto los carriles. La piscina estaba super limpia y con buen mantenimiento. Hay sauna húmedo y seco y spa. Sentí que en comparación a otros complejos estos eran más pequeños pero igual están muy bien. Baños también limpios y todo funciona perfecto. Todo el personal super amable. Hasta ahora la mejor piscina de Auckland.

Fantastic experience: Convenient public pool right by the Auckland harbor. Used the 25M pool which was clean and well maintained. Most people brought their stuff poolside, but the staff member was nice enough to lend me a padlock to use their lockers. Would recommend you bring your own padlock if you want to use one.

Fantastic experience: This place has some sort of Zen; just this feeling of calm and peace that instantly relaxes me when I arrive. It's also got everything I need: pool, gym, spa, sauna, steam room. It's clean, the service is good, and it's very reasonably priced. Well done Auckland Council on providing such a great facility to Auckland Ratepayers.

Fantastic experience: Girlfriend and I took a cruise to Australia and New Zealand and discovered that every town had a great public pool. Auckland did too, and this was it. Surprisingly uncrowded early in the morning given that it was in the middle of the central business district. 25 m pool, 40 laps, great start to the day.

Positive experience: Went to just have a shower after backpacking, nice place, shower with lukewarm water (no hot) and there's no parking next to it, you have to park in one of those parking houses

Negative experience: When I complaint about behavior towards my son. This is reall answer from Tepid bath. "I have never had any complaints about how she talks or teaches children" and then they replied dissatisfaction with me. They are trying to change their argument. Don't change the subject. STOP CHILD ABUSE! "That's not swim" "What languages do you speak" "How old are you" her face was so scared. These are your problems. Absolutely my son is Kiwi.

Fantastic experience: My favorite swimming pool. Always clean. Staff always cleaning it too! Friendly happy staff too! Also you can get carpark ticket for carpark before pools validated for cheaper parking. Or park further away. Not often really packed.

Negative experience: Facility is good but the staff is forcing members to close before closing time. This is a sign of bad cusromer service. Atleast the employees should be allowes to work 30 mins after closing time. Its no point to close for members and employees at same time.
