Fantastic experience: The Restaurant offers 360 degree vantage over the whole park giving you the chance to see clise uo what the next generation athletes are doing and you can learn around the very best here whether it's Kayaking or White water , from novices who have never done this before or an adventurer who had that experience whilst on holiday somewhere. Action packed fun filled adventure with water. The Restaurant offers healthy optional foods snacks and lots of refreshments on offer. Very friendly staff and don't forget the parking is free if you buy food there it's on your receipt just scan the code on your phone and enter the code on your receipt. Fantastic experience: I went white water rafting with 7 mates for a birthday. An excellent experience, we loved it. Ask for Sean as your instructor he made it a 5/5 experience. We did 6 runs on the Olympic course and Sean upped the ante each time. Would highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: Wow what a briliant fun day. Massive thanks to Theo who was a complete legend of a raft captain. We came on the weekend of Storm Amy but the high winds didn't matter at all. Did not expect to be laughing and giggling til I was nearly crying - it's so much more than just paddling down some rapids! Thanks Theo for making it so much fun for us old people (50+ yr olds) - the perfect prequel to a night of beers.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place to practice your open water and white water rafting skills there is an equipment hire area on site so you dont need to bring your own gear, ample parking the largest car park is just 100 yards from the entrance. Staff are super friendly, there is a cafe on site too with inside or outside (on balcony) seating. The road leading to the place is only a normal 30 mph road and it gets busy quickly so try and give yourself plenty of time to get there.

Negative experience: The actual white water rafting experience was very much enjoyable, and I have no complaints about the facility itself. The poor review is to draw attention to the company looking after the parking: Gemini. I was pinged with a £100 parking charge notice for parking over the line in a parking bay. The lines are heavily faded, and neither my passenger nor me even noticed them. No ticket or anything stuck to the car either. They entirely skipped the discounted fine of £60 as well, without me recieving any notice thereof, and Gemini then giving me the additional fee, for late payment on a ticket I didn't even know I had. I appealed, and to nobody's surprise, they do not care. No doubt they get many similar issues, and have no intention of addressing the source of the problem which is the faded parking lines, because they get more money this way. I doubt very much this will achieve anything, but it left a bitter taste in my mouth, as it feels opportunistic and cynical to fine people for a parking area you're not maintaining properly so that you can squeeze out extra money from people.

Positive experience: Great facility and staff. We only did the water wipe out, but it was fun. Would have been a bit better if all the inflatables were pumped up hard

Special thanks to our guide and host Sean, who really got what we wanted to get out of the day and for his help and understanding looking after a group of visually impaired ream mates. So pleased we were allowed this opportunity and thanks again to Sean for making it a day to remember.

Fantastic experience: This sports venue is truly delightful. It’s such a pleasure to watch the determination of those battling the powerful water and waves, whether in team boats or individual kayaks. I genuinely enjoy the atmosphere here, and I try to visit once or twice a week. The café adds to the charm—coffee on cold days and beer on warm ones. Altogether, it’s an outstanding place with an incredible vibe

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with our instructor today. Our instructor was looking to get the people in our boat thrown off. It was clear in his briefings. My partner wasn't comfortable and asked if she could leave when the boat was on the side i.e. in calm waters. He ignored her when clearly he could have let her out. He then proceeded to try to unsteady the boat by taking towards the rapid. My partner wasn't comfortable and had to ask again. He then let her off. His behaviour wasn't the best. We ended up with 3 people out of a group of 10 left in the boat. We had lost paddles. 6 of those that fell out returned to the boat. I was at the back, and he took my paddle from me and gave it other's and said 'you weren't very good, you dont need it'. The instructor wasn't clear in his speech, he was foreign. Neither my partner or I could make sense of his instructions. It was unclear throughout the session. He had no empathy, manners or etiquettes. Being thrown over should be a result of losing control and not because a bully of an instructor wants to throw people off the boat. He was an absolute A-H. I had a 12.30pm booking on the 31/05/25

Fantastic experience: Jordan was great. Parking easy. Open gendered changing rooms with showers. Also had a mirror and hairdryer which was nice. Lockers were easy to use. Had a group of 9 for the whole raft, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you see it, one person at the helm doesn’t paddle. This position can rotate between within your group, which might be a good thing, so you can take a break because this was a tiring activity for sure. Great fun though!

Fantastic experience: Great place for kids to learn kayaking and water skills in not so deep water. Also watching the whitewater rafting is great fun!

Negative experience: The centre has a lot of potential, but the experience would be greatly improved if the instructors were a bit more approachable and customer-focused. There was quite a bit of waiting around with little guidance, and when staff did engage, it often felt more like a telling-off than helpful direction. Unfortunately, one particular instructor left such a negative impression during the kayak session that we ended up leaving early and are now awaiting a refund. On the positive side, the rafting itself was fun, though the steps for entering and exiting the water are a real safety concern — especially for anyone wearing rubber-soled water shoes — and should be addressed urgently. Overall, it’s a great place to try something different, but the lack of support and friendliness from instructors, combined with safety issues, meant the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations.

Positive experience: Unfortunately, no water activity during our visit but great cafe and terrace. Staff very friendly although it was very busy and they struggled to keep up with trays and rubbish left behind on tables.

Negative experience: Although this location should be a jewel in the crown of the area. It is so disappointing. We occasionally go for a coffee or food and a walk. We are always disappointed

Fantastic experience: We had an absolutely incredible river rafting experience! From start to finish everything was well-organized, fun, and unforgettable. A special shout-out to our instructor Shaun — he was absolutely fantastic! His warm and welcoming personality instantly made everyone feel comfortable, and his knowledge and professionalism gave us full confidence throughout the trip. Shaun struck the perfect balance between safety and fun, and his enthusiasm really made the adventure even more enjoyable. If you’re considering river rafting, I can’t recommend this experience (and especially Shaun!) highly enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Positive experience: Fun. Parking is free at reception! Bit of waiting around for people, but otherwise we'll organised. Instructor was good. Depends on who you go with in terms of the types of experience you have. Instructor was called Theo and took us through all the types of stuff we could do and got feedback of how everyone felt. We used a promotion for the experience through the company website, but I would say the normal price is a bit experience, but then againthere isn't really.many places like this around.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous efficiently run world glass facility with great instructors (though those on reception could perhaps be given some customer service tips). Last time I was here with the scouts we did the Olympic course and I fell (got kicked?) out. That was quite an experience (a safe one I stress) that I was happy not to repeat. This time we did the family course and this was also wonderful (and I stayed in!). Might brave the Olympic one again next time! We also did the aqua park and frisbee golf which is also fun.

Fantastic experience: Me and my cousin did explore kayaking and it was really fun, the staff were very helpful and our instructor was fun and didn't waste time getting us in the water. The centre was very clean and the changing rooms were nice and there were showers to use (the shower spaces were conjoined tho just to let you know in advance), and there were free lockers to use as well. A bit of duck poo in the water but it was fine. A lovely day!

Fantastic experience: Did the hot dogs for a present for my partner and it was so much fun. Really well organised and a good amount of time on the course. The site is also really cool, was surprised at how extensive the food and drink selection was in the cafe and there’s lots of places to watch the course

Positive experience: Fantastic facility, instructors super nice and supportive. We did the rafting, great fun, water not too cold in July. All equipment including wetsuits and wet shoes is provided. You do need to be confident in the water to do this. Plenty of parking which is free if you are booked on an activity, validate at reception. Nice cafe also. A bit expensive and my wet suit was very worn with holes, otherwise would be 5 star

Positive experience: Quick warning to anyone planning on visiting; you'll probably get wet. We did water wipe out, and it was great fun - regardless of us being 15 years older than the other patrons! An hour is plenty to make the most of the course. Staff were friendly, welcoming and informative.

It’s also a brilliant place to celebrate birthday parties, especially for teens or adults who love an adrenaline rush. Have kayaked here many times and always had a good experience but this is the first guided experience I’ve had at LV. Brilliant - would recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I visited here with my friends Sunday just gone, we purchased a whole raft to assure we all were together. 2 of our party dropped out, so was 7 instead of 9 and it wasn’t a problem at all! The staff were super friendly & helpful. Our guide Tim was great & made sure the activity suited our age group. I would recommend this experience to anyone, it was scary but good fun.

Fantastic experience: This is a great Day out, either watch the canoeists tackling the rapids or watch the local emergency departments training, or even try it out yourself. There's a restaurant and some good walks by the canal at weekends.

We went white water rafting, and previously did kayaking there also. Now kids are a little bigger will go to the inflatable it's a knockout park, and their inflatable kayak zone - looks amazing fun!

Negative experience: So, basically, the women working at the reception in the water sports section are not very friendly. And for some reason, I needed to use a hand sanitizer there, and when I asked if I could use the one they had right in front of them, they said no. So, that's how much they care about the customers. I hope, if a manager is reading this, that they remind the staff to be a bit more friendly and helpful to the customers. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Went on Saturday 21st June group of 10, we split down and we're mixed with another two smaller groups. We had Anna as our staff member in the raft. She was absolutely amazing - fun, friendly and listening to what we wanted as a group giving options. Ultimately we all wanted to go as hard as we could and many of us came off the raft, in the full knowledge that this was likely. The teams by the side ensured we were safe at all times and truly looked after us. The most awesome time was had by all. Coffee at the cafe good, locker facilities (free) were good, the changing rooms were small but fine. Amazing afternoon!

Fantastic experience: Visited on Saturday with three friends and went hydrospeeding. Our instructors were Sarah and Aaron, with Alex on the bank. Three brilliant people who really looked after us, and made our adventure super special. I have a disability, the team asked questions and how they could support me, looked after me, and made sure we were all safe - I think they earned their wages with me! Definitely one to try!

Fantastic experience: It's quite a beautiful place with water sports. It's got lovely scenery and a nice restaurant with great outdoor seating complete with umbrellas, ideal for summer. I loved the ambience there.

Fantastic experience: Had a go at the hydrospeed. They lot you up with wetsuit, boots, buoyancy aid, helmet and a huge float. Then a quick swim across the lake and you're jumping into white water. Brilliant fun. Hard on the legs after 7 laps but had to keep going to the end. Instructors were great. Want to come back again and also try the rafting.

Fantastic experience: It's a great place for water sports developed prior to London Olympics in 2012..water slides,rapids and obstacles and other cayno slalom.It is 26 km long Lee valley delopment stretching from Heretfordshire, Essex and into London.cyclling tracks ,walk trails , Gyms and river sports all make Lee Valley a great place to spend a day.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure to do rafting here with a group of friends for a hendo and it was a lot of fun! It was the first time for most of our group but our lovely instructor Ty explained everything really well. He made sure we were safe and comfortable and with his knowledge and communal effort we played with the waves and really enjoyed ourselves. We had a morning of laughter and adrenaline and a lovely coffee in the café afterwards, overall we loved the experience, totally recommend!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant spot, came down on a weekend to just watch kayakers and white water rafting. Cafe is large with plenty of seating. There are plenty of benches around the water course to enjoy the action. There is more than adequate parking and areas to store bikes. In regards to actually using the facilities I believe you have to look at the offerings on the 'Better' app which will allow you to book slots. There is a small play area for younger children/toddlers. Great place for a picnic if not on the water

Fantastic experience: We chose to visit here because the sun was shining and we wanted to make the most of it. It was really lovely, big terrace to sit on and watch the world go by. I had coffee and cake and my partner had a fish finger sandwich, really delicious. We had a wander around the whole place and managed to see a few practicing on the white water course...even spotted Adam Burgess. We loved our time here sitting in the sunshine

Positive experience: Visited on a quiet day mid week. Had to sort out the parking payment but went to reception, who helped. Bought 2 coffees (they could have been warmer) and cost over the £5 required for free parking for 8hrs. So, all in all, it would be worth going to have a look around and investigate the near by canal

Positive experience: A lovely relaxing spot to take a walk around. The food options for someone like myself with Celiac Disease were extremely limited. The only gluten free options were a jacket potato or chips . The lady behind the counter was very friendly and chatty which was a lovely touch. Somewhat disappointed with the amount of litter around the park - bottles, cans, general rubbish. Clearly this is not the fault of the park but it was very noticeable. Overall, a nice place to walk, relax and enjoy a cuppa in the restaurant.

Negative experience: Several things let this place down. Firstly the service in the cafe was very poor and the kids meal was dangerously salty for my toddler, I ended up chucking it away. I don’t understand why people work in service when they can’t communicate kindly to people? Another annoying feature was booking. my husband received a voucher for his birthday so was just booking for a single. It kept getting cancelled as they said there wasn’t enough people. When he finally got a place ( almost a year later) he was the 9th in a boat of 8. They stuck him at the front without a paddle with a lazy corporate group that weren’t even trying to paddle. It was incredibly frustrating for him being so sporty. They were all meant to swap with him but he ended up mostly being the one without the paddle. Anyway would recommend as a present for a single person it’s only enjoyable as a group. And take your own food it’s not worth rude interaction.

Fantastic experience: Excellent venue built for the 2012 Olympics and great for getting up close to the action. Visited for the 2024 British Slalom Open finals and the 2024 British Kayak Cross Open finals. Such a great couple of days.

Positive experience: We went on a standard Saturday, until we discovered it was the day of the British Open. Though it was busy, we still found parking! Enjoyed watching what was going on, and had a good lunch in the cafe which had a nice ambience.

Fantastic experience: Have been having a great experience here over the summer, learning to kayak with my kids (and other grown ups) on the lake. The service is very good all-round, and the coaches are polite and fun to learn with. Looking forward to getting a few formal lessons and taking on the white water next summer!

Fantastic experience: Just back from doing the Rafting Unleashed, and we all very much enjoyed the experience. The instructor, Anna, was great - helpful, friendly and very patient. I only wish it wasn't two hours away from us as I'd definitely go again! Rafting Unleashed includes renting a wetsuit and water/wet shoes, and the facilities have lockers you can use for free along with changing rooms and showers. They also provide you with lifejackets and helmets for safety. If you're unsure if it's possibly too extreme to try, give it a go. If you can swim, you can definitely do it (it looks worse than it is). We'd never done it before and we already want to go again. There was a quick swim test (proving you can swim and follow instructions) where they showed us how to get out, but it was nothing too strenuous. Just be prepared to get very wet!

Fantastic experience: I had a great day on Sunday visiting the water park to do white water rafting, it was amazing! We had a great time and was really impressed by the team on-site running the whole thing, staff were really good, we had a chap called Paul who manned our raft and found him to be a really good guide for the day, super clear and made sure we all had a fun and engaging day. I’d highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: White water unleashed! Great fun! Thought it may have been tame but actually provided a great mix of fun, skill and excitement l. Our instructor Tim was very good and made it fun. The course is brilliant and had the right intensity and difficulty for all to share. Many a face and stomach full of water but great fun for all abilities and ages. Would recommend to all. Very safe as life jackets and wet suits provided. Get involved and get amongst it! Will look at the more intense version and also other activities at this great centre

Fantastic experience: The family rafting was so much fun and the smaller course was still fantastic for adults as well as kids. Our instructor Sky was brilliant at explaining what to do and making it fun. The setting, with a lovely terrace and amazing food is well worth a visit even if you’re not rafting. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: It is a fantastic pace to visit, very close to some amazing nature walks. Has areas to view the kayaking as well as a high-quality restaurant and a terrace bar.

Positive experience: Honestly had tonnes of fun the only things I don't like is the flippers it makes it difficult to swim in the first part where there are no currents to deal with and they also hurt and very rarely one of the flippers come off but generally really just get used to the headaches cos of the cholorine

Fantastic experience: A great place to go for an outing with the family! Plenty of space for young kids to run around. They have a team of very professional people for group experience in white water rafting. The safety arrangements are impressive and effective. And to top it all, there is a lovely place to enjoy a drink, a snack or even a proper meal. What more can one ask - except for good weather to go with all this! And they do regular gigs as well, I am told. Strongly recommended.

Fantastic experience: This is a great facility with 2 different grades of white water course and lots of various activities. Changing areas are clean with good lockers. Free parking when you register at reception for centre users. I would love more midweek public paddling sessions on Olympic course but there doesn’t seem to be enough kayakers so the Olympic only runs when enough rafts booked. Booking system is slightly awkward for getting assessed and public paddling sessions but if you use the Better App it is easy once set up. Also the cafe is very expensive.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place. Inspiring sports available, loved kayaking and you can open water swim- big terrace with a great view of the sunset. Fantastic experience: A great place for a day out. Lots of activities. Food and drink available. But you can take a picnic with lots of places to sit around the centre. Lost of paths for walking. Excellent place.

Fantastic experience: So much fun. We had smaller children so did the smaller course. We booked the family bundle. You get about an hour and a half on the water and the instructors were so nice. Get given wetsuit, shoes, helmet and life jacket. So much fun. Make sure you are a really strong swimmer as some of the currents are quite strong
