Our comment from Gimnasios Fitness about Wycombe Rye Lido:
Wycombe Rye Lido is a beloved community hub located in the heart of High Wycombe, offering a range of facilities including a 33m heated outdoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, and tennis courts. Visitors appreciate the picturesque surroundings of the park, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and outdoor activities.
The center boasts several positive aspects:
- Friendly and helpful staff, enhancing the overall experience.
- Wonderful location with ample green spaces for picnicking and outdoor play.
- The swimming pool is heated, providing comfort even on cooler days.
- Offers a variety of activities including fitness classes tailored to different levels.
However, there are significant concerns that need addressing:
- Many users have reported cleanliness issues, particularly in changing rooms and restroom facilities. This has led to disappointing experiences regarding hygiene management.
- The parking system has garnered heavy criticism, with multiple complaints about fines and the difficulty of using the service.
- Some equipment and facilities, such as gym machines and doors, are in disrepair and take too long to be addressed.
- Inconsistent opening hours and session limits have frustrated visitors, affecting their ability to enjoy the facilities fully.
While Wycombe Rye Lido has incredible potential and offers a lovely outdoor swimming experience, it is clear that management must prioritize maintenance and cleanliness to restore the facility's reputation and enhance customer satisfaction.
Wycombe Rye Lido: Opinions
Negative experience: PREDATORY PARKING SCAM – AVOID AT ALL COSTS It doesn't matter how nice the pool is or what facilities they offer—do not visit High Wycombe Rye Lido unless you want to be extorted for £100. I visited this facility, played by the rules, and paid for my parking via RingGo. I have the receipt to prove it. Despite this, their third-party vultures, Civil Enforcement, slapped me with a £100 fine. Here is the reality of visiting this Lido: They ignore evidence: Having a valid receipt means nothing to them. They are unreachable: The enforcement company has deliberately designed their business to be ghost-like. You cannot contact them; there is no human to speak to. The appeals process is a sham: Raising a dispute is useless. They know that if they stonewall you long enough, you will eventually pay the £100 just to avoid the threat of court. It is legalized extortion. To the Management of High Wycombe Rye Lido: By hiring a predatory company like Civil Enforcement, you are complicit in this scam. You are allowing a third party to harass and rob your paying loyal customers. The way this enforcement company operates is unacceptable, and your failure to rein them in is a disgrace. I hope you enjoy spending my £100, because it is the last penny you will ever get from me. I am telling everyone I know to stay away. You have traded a loyal customer's lifetime value for a quick parking fine grab. Verdict: Until management fires this enforcement company, this place is a prohibited zone. Drive past
Negative experience: I would love to return here to swim. I joined when it reopened in 2011 but sadly it is now in a state. All changing rooms are awful and in disrepair. Fusion have not invested in the upkeep of this pool and from reading other reviews it would appear the gym is just as bad. Management have dropped the ball here. They could have easily redecorated and made repairs during lock down. I won't be visiting again until improvements have been made.
Positive experience: I enjoy several classes here as a long-term member. Instructors are generally quite good and fellow members are lovely people!. It's a shame, however, that Fusion does not care to maintain their facilities - things break down and take forever to address (such as front access door which was broken for around 2 months) and pool boiler recently broken down and water too cold to comfortably swim for over a month now with absolutely no membership discount offered. Cleaning of toilets, shower cubicles and changing cubicles absolutely not up to standard and water temperature under showers either too cold or putting one at risk of scalding (thermostate failure??). Also saw other things like emergency sauna button out of order for days, with wires hanging down - again, the facility has been open to clients despite this dangerous fault, with no regular checks of customer's welfare. Chemical storage of pool disinfecting chemicals has been terrible (outside with no bunding). The list goes on. It is a great shame that things are run like this - Wycombe Rye lido and gym are located in a beautiful spot and should be a pride of High Wycombe. I wish someone took care of it with a bit more enthusiasm and investments to at least ensure the basics such as safety and hygiene. Please please maintain this prescious 'community hub' and have at least a minimum of respect for your members.
Fantastic experience: Large fields, lovely open spaces
Fantastic experience: The basics were well covered.
Fantastic experience: Sun 2 Nov 2025 21° C, sunny weather Swimming pool looks pristine. Staff is very helpful and the crowd is chill.
Fantastic experience: The moonlight swim was really good, will definitely be back
Positive experience: I have been using lido since COVID But the decline in place is noticeable. Gym area needs some work plus machines that need replacing. Pool is lovely but come summer time very busy
Negative experience: Provides a great outdoor swim, but the rest of the gym and changing areas is in desperate need of a refurbishment. Tatty changing booths with broken doors wouldn’t take too much time and money to fix but the gym company don’t seem interested
Positive experience: Difficult to review cause I don't have anything chance to get in
Fantastic experience: Rye Lido is amazing! It has a pool, gym, sauna, tennis courts, and many other activities. I especially enjoyed the pool, sauna, and tennis courts. I’ve been there several times to play tennis and getting the hang of it, and it’s always a great experience. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to book the tennis courts and swimming sessions in advance.
Negative experience: Staff is nice. But the pool is not it ! It’s breath taking when you get in and very hard to warm up at times. Apparently the pool is heated but it’s definitely not the pool is murky and hard bugs and random little bits everywhere. I found a peice of nappy on the side of the pool too! Disgusting and had feces stain on it, which is so gross it’s hard to belive. The changing rooms have this weird fishy smell in it and is mouldy and has stains all over! The changing stalls are like a shabby shack and needs desperate maintenance. Good food though and amazing ice cream selection the cafe is great too.
Fantastic experience: Great outdoor swimming. Pool heated and nice and warm. Clean and tidy...
Positive experience: It was ok
Positive experience: Great place but avoid when it’s busy as parents with their kids ruin the whole place and the pool is overcrowded to where no one even swims it’s just a daycare.
Fantastic experience: Great place for an open-air dip!
Fantastic experience: Fitted brand new pump inverters into the plant room.
Positive experience: Nice pool, everything needs a bit of updating though
Fantastic experience: Great day out in the heat. Book ahead … ensure you pay to park to avoid fine!
Positive experience: We visited yesterday, kids had a lovely time. Although the water was murky, and loads of bits and bugs floating. The toddler pool had loads of grit in the bottom with piles of it around the bottom edges this was after a half hour closure to clean up The changing rooms, showers and toilets are in desperate need of a renovation, They are awful and the floors have puddles of water and not cleaned up regularly. That being said, the staff were great and really helpful when needed. The lifeguards were brilliant watching everyone in the water like hawks!
Positive experience: Was good ,changing rooms ok. Pretty decent
Negative experience: Everything going for it but let down by murky water, wet changing floor not right, changing cubicles a bit shabby but seriously a lot going for it .. what a brilliant location, good car parking, friendly customers and staff .. fingers crossed the above items numerously quoted by so many others can be rectified. Come on councillors get on the bandwagon and help this place out.,
Negative experience: Was so looking forward to trying out the Lido, first impressions in the foyer were excellent, then sadly it went downhill . On entering the changing rooms we were met with a strong fishy odour!, the changing rooms were in desperate need of a makeover and were filthy. The pool was a good temperature but the water rather murky and the sides looked unclean. The toilets and showers (all 2 of them!) were awful, mouldy and in serious need of modernisation! Such a shame
Negative experience: The lido has so much potential, but needs some investment, new changing rooms showers benches outside.
Positive experience: Nice gym with tennis courts and pool. The exercise classes really hit the mark
Fantastic experience: Lovely dog walk
Negative experience: In desperate need of a refurbishment, the pool is disgusting and needs a thorough deep clean. The changing rooms are health hazard and are dangerously unclean. Avoid if you have small kids!
Fantastic experience: Great outdoor pool - avoid peak times if you can
Positive experience: Nice place in summer. however, inside is very dirty.
Positive experience: Could do with a refresh and lick of paint everywhere, showing its age, however it was good value and the water was warm. Lovely to swim outdoors. ☀️
Fantastic experience: Great place for a swim, even when it's cold outside the water is always warm
Fantastic experience: Simple facilities but really clean. Lido was nice and clean and wasn't too busy for Sunday 3pm in May with 22C sunshine. Not super warm pool but definitely made a difference when you stepped out and back in again. Will be visiting again!
Positive experience: This was our first visit but we'll definitely be back. A nice area around the pool to relax or sunbathe in and the pool was heated which is a nice touch. An hours swim felt a bit short but you can pay for more time I believe.
Negative experience: The cafe has closed, why was it not supported by the council. Bad move.
Negative experience: ZERO STARS AFTER GETTING A PARKING FINE WHILE I TRIED FOR 15 MIN TO GET A TICKET - OTHER LIDO COMPLAINTS ON GOOGLE CONFIRM THAT THIS IS COMMON OCCURANCE FOR MANY VISITORS - THEREFORE I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Negative experience: What a bad experience! I took my 2 friends for a night swim from 8.30-9.30. I was so embarrassed ;( We left after 15 min, you do not expect this days to have such a bad state of facilities. Pull is a good size and good to have it outdoors, but for nigh swimming 25 degrees is not enough! We run to sauna- more disappointments- it was cold and smelly. Shower next to sauna - cold( May be that should be) but we so quickly like to leave the place , that didn’t look if any other shower around. I was looking forward for night swim, but never again! Hygiene so much below the standards! It’s a shame, as the idea of outdoor pool is good, and I don’t mind to pay more for session and come to clean and upgrade place.
Fantastic experience: What a gem! Although frosty outside the water was warm - so warm it was steaming - and the sauna was the icing on the cake !
Fantastic experience: Good value for money, Plenty of parking. Good Sauna, heated pool, The gym is basic but enough to keep you going. No complaints.
Fantastic experience: My experience is good but 2 idiots are playing football in a reckless manner in the football tennis unit. If left open when you close today, expect damage when you return
Fantastic experience: This site features gym, sauna, dance & fitness studio aswell as full size pools. It has reasonable facilities but in dying need of a full refurbishment, for what you actually pay is not really beneficial to the equipment and offerings. Personally I feel it's on the over priced side. Also the gym is very basic. I could have the same equipment set up at home, it's nothing too exciting. If you want a starter gym and some facilities this is not a bad place. I only leave this 5 star because it's actually a pretty quiet location and not that busy. Which benefits the type of person I am.
Fantastic experience: Always accommodating staff, nothing is ever a bother. Love outdoors pool, such an amazing asset for community
Fantastic experience: The Rye Lido is a little gem of a place which we are very lucky to have in Wycombe. The staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful and the instructors are amazing and put a lot of thought and energy into the classes to keep everyone motivated. I rarely use the gym as the many varied classes suit all my needs perfectly but if I wanted to it's very well equipped. The pool is lovely to swim in outside in the summer months and also the colder months as it's heated and the sauna is also a bonus. The only thing I would change is that the changing room could benefit from a complete upgrade. I don't use the cafe so can't comment on that but I know from speaking to other people that it's missed. There is a real community vibe which is often missing in a lot of other sports activity venues. Thank you to everyone who keeps this place running for the community.
Fantastic experience: Great facilities. HOWEVER :- Unsanitary / Very dirty floors and showers, toilets and sauna areas. Gym equipment is also unclean, ensure you self clean machines before and after use. I’m a member and having complained countless times come to the conclusion that staff cannot be bothered to clean on a regular basis enough to keep up with the dirt regular traffic creates. Take sliders to save picking infections from changing areas.
Fantastic experience: Glorious winter sun swim yesterday.
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a basic outdoor, but very adequately heated, easy-going pool for a relaxing swim under the sky, in all weathers and in a great location, the Lido is great. I regularly swim there, sometimes with the pool almost to myself, and have no complaints with the facilities. The price is comparable to other lidos and pools for an hour-long session and staff are friendly. A perfect, quiet and calm opportunity for a daytime swim in a slightly retro setting!
Positive experience: The outdoor pool might not be the best decision late September
Positive experience: I have used the pool for the last 5 years or so and it is fabulous, the only downside being a recent request to wear less revealing swimwear (I prefer to wear thong briefs to minimise white patches because I model for life drawing).
Positive experience: Not very clean water .changing rooms are old and not clean
Negative experience: 0 star car park. The worst in high Wycombe. Absolutely crazy parking system. The pay machine do not work often. They throw fines at you like nothing and chase you down and when it comes to appealing it's always reject. Do not park here. Rye lido please change your parking management system and vendor
Negative experience: BEWARE! Parking at this site is now managed by an entry /exit camera system and you must pay for the ENTIRE time your vehicle is in the parking area. Appeals are pointless as the rules are rigidly applied
Fantastic experience: Excellent outdoor swimming experience, this place has everything to offer , sauna, gym, classes, heated pool, grassed seating area, cafe, showers close to the town centre, safe for familys, elderly swimmers anyone who enjoys outdoor swimming. Just a treat to have ! Great friendly staff and life guards
Fantastic experience: Such a great place for wycombe and the surrounding area. Sat in a deckchair, had a swim and an ice cream on a beautiful afternoon. What more could you ask for
Positive experience: Nice coffee. Sometimes the food is good but there are times that it is really bad prepared. The service is good, though. Toilet is a dread very dirty
Fantastic experience: I went with my friends and we had a great time the changing rooms little bit unclean, but they were fine and the pool was great. It was a good temperature everything was great
Fantastic experience: On a sunny day its lovely swimming here, a tad on the pricy side.
Positive experience: Great place for some out door swimming and there is a big park right next to it perfect for picnics or a run around with your children along with a playground
Negative experience: If I could give less stars I would. I sat in the cafe to order a drink before my session for swimming. Cafe: I ordered a coffee and was given a buzzer. Half hour later I then saw the girl serving other people their coffees after ordering straight away, which the buzzer given still hadn't gone off. I then went up to her to ask was my order ready to then she started to make my order, when I asked for decaf she went to give me normal coffee and I also asked for no syrup and was given syrup which then she had to start it again. Swimming pool: It was a great place for little one to run around before my session, a girl comes shouting out of reception saying everyone get out the pool and everyone around here needs to go....I then approached her and asked ive paid for a session, what do I do, for her to then explain oh its only people with these type of wristband their sessions over....so I assumed it was an emergency by the way she was shouting. It was then our session time, and I got little one in the pool, and I didn't have a good feeling not only was the changing rooms, toilets and showers disgusting so was the pool. It didn't smell clean or even of cholrine. I let little one swim for 15mins before getting out as she was loving it, but the feeling I had wasn't great. That same night my little one was pucking alot and throughout the night, I took her to a&e to find out she had picked up a stomach bug, which would of been caused by the pool water, Naturally kids swallow water and it's not the first time she's been swimming, and never ever got sick, this proves how dirty the pool was!! Never will I return unless a full refurbishment/staff change happens. It took my little one 3 days to recover from this!!! I would avoid going here, the wycombe leisure centre near handy cross is alot cleaner!!
Fantastic experience: Lush place, 30 degrees today, which certainly helps.
Fantastic experience: Great fun! A great place to go, especially when the weather is good!
Negative experience: Pretty awful day out to be honest, service for food was incredibly slow, I asked for gluten free food which they have on the menu only to be served food that was not, when I asked I was told the people in the kitchen ‘weren't even told it was supposed to be gluten free’ and that they’re not even sure they have the right stuff to make the food which is on the menu so after waiting 45 minutes for food I couldn’t even eat and would have caused me a lot of issues had I eaten it it was already off to a bad start. The pool was cold and the changing rooms were disgusting so not worth the price at all. Basically if you want to get over charged for the pool, food and ice cream and get the worst service then this place is perfect
Negative experience: Beautiful settings very peaceful location, but when I went on one of the warmest days the pool is absolutely freezing. I couldn't even go in it was so cold and my baby was screaming. Not heated to the temperature they stated and barely any loungers available even though it wasn't very busy. Changing rooms dirty and the settings needs an update. Very disappointed with the visit.
Negative experience: Their car park uses a terrible parking app where you get a ticket as it’s basically impossible to pay - even when you have no problem with other apps
Fantastic experience: Great for Lane swimming although can get very busy so be sure to book. Best when it’s raining or cold as it’s a heated pool. Staff are helpful and friendly. If coming with kids, be prepared to not have a shower as the facilities aren’t great. But the pool itself is perfect for al ages. My one bug bear is you can’t dive in the deep end and it’s 2 metres deep, so I don’t understand that rule.
Positive experience: 33m heated outdoor pool, adequate gym, sauna, classes. Not massively busy, especially the pool when it rains!
Positive experience: Could be a great place. Lovely staff, but the pool is closed so often because they don't have enough staff. It's such a shame and really annoying when sessions get cancelled so much. Cleanliness also needs attention.
Negative experience: In the gym, half the machines were out of order. The lift is still out of order which excludes wheelchair users who pay a monthly membership subscription. Ripoff! Hardly adequate. Barely useful!
Negative experience: I was planning to have a nice winter sauna and swim session in the open pool. I booked my 50 minutes session, because that's all you can stay and I arrived. There was a piece of paper saying the sauna is closed. The pool decided to do deep cleaning on a Saturday morning. I should have asked for a refund and go home, but I decided to stay - it was a mistake. I arrived a few minutes before my slot began at 11.15 - the swimming pool was closed. At that point I started to wonder why i paid 9 pounds if every facilities are closed. Eventually they opened it and I was able to swim... until i wanted a little break to warm myself up and went to the shower to rinse with some hot water since the sauna wasn't working, but there was only luke warm water coming from the shower. I gave up and decided to go home. At this point I just prayed for a hair dryer because i started to doubt they have one. Of course one out of the two was out of order (surprise, surpise) but at least one was working. Instead of a relaxing session I had a frustrating hour with nothing working around me. The management clearly only cares about profit, so everyone can spend only 50 minutes, not a minute longer (what works well in the summer when the pool would fill up quickly, but they can rotate customers hourly and make more money), but they somehow fail to provide a decent service. I gave 2 starts because the location is nice.
Positive experience: This place is like a ripple in time. What's not to like about swimming with the open sky above you? Not too busy first thing on a Saturday morning lane swim session. Not many showers though (two, in the ladies) and I don't think the cafe was open.
Fantastic experience: Had a lovely swim here. Staff were friendly, pool was clean. Sauna included (always a bonus!) Showers were hot with good water pressure. As with all pools, timing is going to be a big factor in what your experience is like. I visited late afternoon on a weekday before the evening rush, so the pool was quiet and I had a lane to myself for most of the session. Changing rooms a bit tired-looking but clean... I imagine trying to keep them nice at peak hours must be challenging. Parking fees are reasonable and you can pay by card/ contactless.
Negative experience: This is a truly wonderful place but the website doesn't work and is truly out of date, there is NO cafe, you can't even buy a bottle of water, the showers are scalding. it needs Help!. But The staff are great and the water is warm
Positive experience: This reminded me of the old Maidenhead Outdoor Pool. It was a shame the Childrens Pool was closed. Friendly staff.
Negative experience: I have written to you 3 times already and have not received an answer. I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the team at Wycombe Rye Lido. I booked a family sailing for the whole family for 10 of September 2023 on 3:00 pm. The reservation was made 1 day before the session. They called me 1 hour before the session and said that the session was cancelled. My family and I were very upset because we spent half the day waiting for the session, the session was canceled just one hour before our visit. Wycombe Rye Lido's cancellation fee was not refunded. Please take action and return the money to my bank card. I was offered to return the money to the club account, which I refused. Since my goal was to visit the pool once with my child and husband. After such an attitude, there is no desire to be in your membership at all. I request a refund to my bank card in the amount of £22.50. I can attach the payment receipt in the next letter.
Positive experience: Excellent way to spend a few hours when the weather is nice. Changing rooms are not very clean but the pool seemed clean. People working there were nice on the day we visited too.
Positive experience: Good pool, great surroundings and warm staff
Fantastic experience: Traditional lido in heart of High Wycombe. Reasonable prices. Great walks and park nearby and close to town facilities. Warm all year round. Just make sure you shower afterwards.
Fantastic experience: Came last week with my 85 year old mum, found it very easy to Access ,we all really enjoyed our swim. Only thing I would say is they could do with cutting the grass on the picnic area but otherwise really nice day out
Fantastic experience: On holiday in the area and we love a lido so had to come. Almost had it to ourselves. Car park outside cost £1. Changing rooms we satisfactory. Water was warm and we had a good time.
Negative experience: Emailed Wycombe Lido at least 7 times, 4 unreturned calls, 3 emails to head office and NOT ONE REPLY from anyone! Took payment from me 3 times (on 2 different cards) and wont refund me. I literally have no choice but to go via small claims court to get my money back. Ill leave a review every week until I get my money back.
Positive experience: Lovely place to go for a swim. The outdoor pool water is heated to a very comfortable temperature and there a nice grassy picnic area around the back. You must pre-book a slot. The changing and shower facilities are very basic and a little run down so keep expectations low on that front. Only £1 or £2 to park for 4 hours so that's good.
Negative experience: The opening hours vary depending on how the staff feel on the day, it appears. I saw someone who turned up/paid for gym only to be told, 20min into their workout, the place was closing in 5 min. The place is not being kept clean either. When I hear about other places my friends go to, it's obvious my choice of gym was wrong. Lido is quite good. The location fantastic. Yet againz due to grotty changing area, people change outdoor!
Positive experience: The only outdoor pool in this area, the Lido is surrounded by parkland including the river (Wye), woodland, extensive playing fields and playgrounds for younger and older children. There is also a small cabin cafe at the far end where they serve coffee tea, a range of soft drinks and I believe hot dog and chips and the like. They also hire out boats for use on the river. There are tennis courts at the other end near the pool As such, it has a good selection of activities for all. Unfortunately, the pool is disappointing. The changing facilities looked uncared for, badly needing a lick of paint. The grass area to the side of the pool is not maintained - grass not cut, and the picnic tables and benches don't look as if they've been painted for quite a while. The pool itself is adequate - the shallow end is good for young children and the deep end deep enough for older and if the rest of the area was maintained, it would be a great day out. There is a nice little cafe next to the pool, a reasonable sized (completely cashless) car park and public toilets on the car park. I probably will go again, but, considering this is (I believe) a privately owned facility, I was surprised by the poor state of repair in the middle of the summer holiday season.
Negative experience: Brand reputation tarnished because of Car Park Operators. CE. Civil Enforcement. Says it all. A scamming band of ruthless charlatans. Wycombe District Council - grow up & send them off.
Negative experience: Keep your car park ticket! fined by post and had no evidence to appeal. Fraudster car park company run the car park.. CE Parking. Received a £60 fine by post despite paying at the machine. The ANPR camera picks up the reg and there's no checking to see if you punch a number wrong. 1 machine was broken and the keypad on the other barely worked. the app is terrible and doesn't accept any of our cards. Bucks Council / Places for people.. Please please give the contract to a non fraudulent car park operator like Ringo!
Fantastic experience: Stunning outside pool which is heated.
Positive experience: Expensive but when full they can control when you can swim
Fantastic experience: Lovely warm pool, quiet at midday on a Friday lunchtime
Fantastic experience: Underrated. Gorgeous setting. Yes it’s a bit dated and the toilets need more regular attention, but overall very good value for money. Nice heated pool. Gym not v extensive but has all the basic bits you would need.
Negative experience: Alert! Car Park Managed by CE! Same as every one-star review. You will be penalised extra. :-) Will sure avoid but if you are rich enough to pay 60 pounds for the few hours, it is a good place to go. I am not that rich.
Fantastic experience: Very well run Lido with a great 33m pool set in the Rye Park, so very tranquil. Use of Sauna is included and of a good size with a cold shower available for those who desire it. A good range of changing facilities and showers available. For those with memberships a well equipped gym for extra classes with views of the pool. The outdoor experience here is amazing, even in cold weather as the picture shows!
Negative experience: Cowboy car park company ruined my experience, if only I had kept ticket I could have proved them wrong.
Positive experience: Lovely park with space to ride bikes, playground for kids and a little lake. We prayed Eid prayer here too and it was lovely
Negative experience: This place needs serious cleaning up. Ladies changing room bad but Guys changing room is appalling. My husband said it's raw sewage smell. Finally fixed the leaking pipes in the ceiling but cracked walls and windows have been ignored. The gym upstairs runs out of cleaning paper rolls frequently and not replaced. The web page says the opening time on Saturday is till 1630 and 1600 for Sunday but in fact it appears it depends on how busy the staff are on the day and if they have somewhere to go, they don't hesitate to kick you out when it suits. The location is brilliant and convenient. The libo does look good especially in summer, under blue sky. The parking free for members. But overall, as a gym user, you don't get the regular services you will expect in other gyms, such as personal gym instructions, 24/7 gym use or clean equipments.
Negative experience: ** as the last swim on a weekend is at 13:45!! I mean.... Come on on guys! This is 21 century England I'm pretty sure there is enough demand to cover staff costs till later.
Negative experience: The changing rooms are filthy - it looks like they've never been cleaned despite there being four attendants on the desk when I visited on a quiet day. The seating area is Spartan concrete. Very much lives up to its post-war municipal origins.
Negative experience: would not recommend this place to anyone. I cancelled my membership with them and found they were still taking payments for months after. I requested a refund in February and since have been given 5 different reasons or excuses. I was told it takes 6 weeks then was told 5 months, then was told head office didn't receive the request, then was told the money was in my account on 15th march. last week I was told the refund hasn't even been actioned!!! extremely unprofessional.
Negative experience: Not very well maintained. Anything that breaks takes a long time to get repaired. Not very good value for money. Fitness facilities tired and limited
Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely wonderful! The sights here are nice and is full of wildlife! There a lot of ducks and other little critters all over the rye. There is plenty of walking around the area too! It's just one of those days where you can walk endlessly and enjoy an amazing adventure with friends!
Fantastic experience: Very beautiful place, very nice pitches for play Football, fantastic car park
Fantastic experience: Straight forward gym with very good pool
Positive experience: Edit: REMEMBER TO PAY FOR PARKING!!! I just received a £60 quid parking fine. BUT still a great place for an outdoor swim. Open all year!
