You Fit Rochester, at the Holiday Inn Rochester, is a health & leisure club that puts the member experience at the centre of all that we do. We want our guests to feel that they’ve chosen a health club that feels like a home away from home, surrounded by like minded people and quality products. We offer a fully equipped gym with both cardio and resistance equipment, swimming pool, spa pool, sauna and steam room. Plus why not read more below about the variety of exercise classes we offer.
We recognise that our members are individuals with individual goals and provide support to help you achieve them. A large part of this is giving our members a choice of group exercise classes , that target different areas of the body and help achieve specific fitness goals.
Our exercise classes are open to all members and cater for all fitness levels, allowing you to workout at your own pace and within your own comfort level.
Our goal is to treat every member as though they are a guest in our home, where they can workout and relax in a friendly and personable health club that puts them first.
We will always be on hand to provide our expert knowledge and guidance with bespoke lifestyle support to inspire and motivate you so that you can achieve your fitness goals.

Negative experience: Really disappointed with membership been 2 years an there is always something out of action the changing rooms need a big overhaul an lockers are rubbish so to the showers in changing room’s don’t be sucked in to the promises every thing is been do. Pool never worked 100. Yes it it a good monthly payment. But we want everything to be 100 percent working
Positive experience: Used to be a member but higher prices, lockers in poor condition, hot tub always breaking down plus high turn over of staff made me leave.
Negative experience: Smallest gym and most of the equipment was so old and dirty it was actually rusting!
Negative experience: Tired old machines constantly having issues With pool and electricity. Changing rooms could do with being cleaned more frequently throughout the day.
Fantastic experience: Amazing place to rest and have spa time, after refurbishment everything is new , steam/sauna/jacuzzi/pool , everything is just more than fine , will be coming back 100%
Positive experience: The jacuzzi has been out of action for months !!! The floor in the ladles charging room needs a scrub, the tiles are manky, and it is also disgusting Also, the toilets smell, actually stinks on occasions. And are unsanitary The steam room floor needs scrubbing, as does the sauna You have to supply your own towels unlike hotel guests Theres been lots of issues People accompanying friends and family walk through the changing room and pool area wearing shoes so it gets dirty There's a door from reception, but theyre not made too use it No friends Friday for month's ! Actually a refund should be forthcoming
Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym just wished the jacuzzi worked properly
Negative experience: AGREED DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. Came to an open day and was sold the dream of a non obligatory 3 month trial, no long term commitment, contract, no notice required.. No other catches or T and Cs as I asked specifically before signing. Never once was my membership acknowledged by phone, post or email. I ended up joining another gym, so saw out my contractual 3 month trial and then cancelled 'safe' in the knowledge that I had fulfilled my obligations as was explained and then clarified to me again by the member of staff before I agreed to sign. Well clearly that bloke must have been on commission and said whatever he needed to, to get the deal as now 4 months on after not a whisper, I recieve a letter from debt collection agency. I have seen your response to the previous complaint of the same nature 2 months ago.I did try to call your number several times. No one picks up. Just like no one was has called, written or emailed me to either welcome me, say goodbye or query payment. I think it's disgusting that you think it s OK to pass on details without any previous contact and also that your team are prepared to miss sell contracts. Clearly this is not an isolated incident . Its not fair to mess with people' like that
Fantastic experience: Nice staff,pleasant and helpful.
Negative experience: DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. Shocking gym with shocking members of staff. My wife Couldn’t set up direct debit because of a problem their end which couldn’t be resolved at the time so she went back on her next visit and a vile member of staff accused her of not having enough money in the bank made her feel very uncomfortable. So she left and didn’t return and joined another gym. During her time at another gym she was receiving junk messages saying join our gym for £0 with the first month free etc…. 12 months later we’re getting letters from debt collectors saying we owe the years worth of money!! Not once did anyone contact her on her 3 points of contact (address, phone, email) letting us know she was actually a member of the gym. Shocking company…. DO NOT JOIN!!

Firstly I would like to apologize if your wife had felt this way during her time at the Club. We do-not promote this sort of behaviour in our club. You Fit is a place to relax and feel at ease.
Looking into this issue this Member was Liable for 9 Months of payments due to Violating the Contract T&C’s. This member had signed a 12 Month contract and cancelled within the first 3 Months. If the process of cancellation isn’t done the correct way without giving the Club/Membership Team notice the membership will be suspended and arrears will be due for collection.
We use letters and telecommunications as our point of contact. If you didn’t receive a letter or a phone call I do apologise, however this occurrence very rarely happens. There is so much we can do as a Company to contact about arrears, especially if there is no response.

Fantastic experience: I had my eye lashes done yesterday.. Irena is a lovely lady,, very careful. No rushing. My lashes look great.. Would highly recommend.... Price's very reasonable. Gave me good advice. Extremely pleased.. Overall
Fantastic experience: The staff are great and helpful but sometimes in changing room someone are getting undress in fully while kids are around
Positive experience: Joined recently. Staff are really friendly and helpful, the pool and facilities are clean and tidy. It has long opening hours that fit around work etc. Pool is big enough for lengths and has a shallow end for kids. Gym is small and no the most up to date but it’s more than adequate. Overall this is a good place to join.

Fantastic experience: Good size gym for a workout and socialising, staff are also willing to help you if you need something and always nice and friendly. Nice size pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna perfect for some relaxation so feel very happy and welcome.
Fantastic experience: A nice place for a work out and socialising. Staff very friendly and equipment is adequate for most peoples needs. Staff do their utmost to accommodate everybody's needs. Pool is a nice size and clean and jacuzzi is working and will be fully functional shortly.
Negative experience: I urge anyone who is thinking of joining You Fit Rochester to think again! 1) Changing rooms are dirty, I don't think I've ever seen a member of staff clean them in the year that I was a member. 2) No poolside shower, and the changing rooms are incredibly small. 3) Broken jazuzzi - The Jacuzzi has been out of full working action for over 14 months and the only compensation we recieved was 1 month at half price. 4) Constant pool downtime - The pool is always closing, I have arrived at the gym on multiple occasions where the pool is at unsafe temperatures and mirky water. 5) Unable to contact head office - I have complained to head office on multiple occasions only to be met with a phone call from the club manager. Head office are impossible to get hold off so if you have a complaint nothing will be done about it. 6) Steal money - 3 months after I joined I dropped my membership from peak to off peak, for 2 months after this I was still charged full price, it took me having to complain to get my money back. 7) No life guard & staff don't care about people using mobiles on the pool side. 8) Nearly every evening there is a swimming lesson that takes up 1/2 of the swimming pool making it impossible to swim full lengths. 9) Gym equipment is mostly broken, including lack of sufficient heart rate monitors on the treadmill, making this dangerous. 10) Management are liars - The club manager promised me a refund of 1 months membership (due to jacuzzi being down for 14 months), when I questioned him on this after not recieveing anything, he claimed he never said it and that the club was not going to offer any more refunds. 11) High staff turnover gives a strong suggestion to how poorly the club is run.
Negative experience: Swimming pool is dirty: greasy line on pool tiles. Tiny jim.. Tiny Jim in the lobby of the club. There are no dressing rooms here. You must be brave to dress up in front of the other members of the club. Be careful with your payment. I have provided direct debit account signing a contract. However, YFR ignored it and 3 months after my contract expiered I have had a call from money collector.

Our pool water is filtered by the top of the range commercial filters and is regularly backwashed weekly by our team, we have never received any reports of the pool water being “dirty” if so this would have been rectified immediately. We do have changing facilities however these are shared, we also have a family changing room if you feel that you want to get changed in private. Our gym may be slightly smaller than some however we have a range of great equipment, including cardio equipment, free weights and resistance machines. I do apologise about the money being taken however no notice was given to the club during your term of contract therefore direct debit collection will continue, it does state this when you sign your contract.

Fantastic experience: On my visit ,it was well organised, clean ( and regular cleaning was noticed while I was there..Staff polite ,professional and happy to do whatever they could to make my visit pleasant. Space and numbers very good .Followed the rules and stright in had a swim and stright out ..
Negative experience: I have been a member here for several years, cleanliness has gone downhill, visited twice in Dec jacuzzi not available, visited twice in Jan and had to share jacuzzi with kids, although notice up staff do not enforce this! Facilities not available for several days in Jan and 5 days in Feb! And the attitude on the phone from a member of staff saying I cannot just cancel membership....but they can cancel the facilities! Constantly spoke over me, , more training required. Extremely disappointing AVOID
Hi Tracy. I'm so sorry you have had a disappointing experience with us. As you may be aware, we have had recent issues with our boiler system, something which was beyond our control and which we have had fixed as soon as physically possible. We always prioritise the health and safety of our customers and will only make the facilities available if they are exactly as they should be. Positive experience: Nice pool but SMALL gym
Hi Liam. Thank you for your review. While we understand that our gym may be slightly smaller than some, we believe that we have a great range of equipment in the facility. We offer cardio equipment, resistance machines and free weights. We do offer disabled facilities for both males and females within the club including toilets, shower supports and a shallow step entrance into the pool. Unfortunately, we do not offer a single disabled changing area at the moment but we can look into this in future.

Positive experience: Free parking, good location. Jacuzzi is wonderful for pummeling any aches, pains or stiffness right out of my body. Steam room and sauna lively and hot. Good pool but can get busy. Coukd do with some more/new loungers and attention needs to be paid to the toilets which can become water logged. Good job on the shower refurbishment.

Fantastic experience: Love our gym...friendly staff especially Nicola and Joe always helpful. Not massive amounts of equipment but this stops the muxcle heads from joining and people like us who just want to keep fit feel more comfortable. Love the pool area and jacuzzi would prefer private ladies changing cubicles but happy to compromise.
