Experiencia fantástica: I knew that this would be the place for my Granddaughter to learn how to swim. During her 1st session, she had to get use to being alone in the water floating with her float. Later that day, she was at the pool in the deep end swimming effortlessly. The Y does not pressure you to join or pressure you to learn a new activity. The Y is there for all to have fun. That’s exactly what my Granddaughter did

Experiencia fantástica: The fitness class teachers are top notch, the child care providers and all of the staff at Patrick Henry YMCA are so kind and caring! There is a great variety of classes, the facility always feels clean, and my whole family is able to enjoy our time when we are there.

Experiencia positiva: It's a good family YMCA. It has a good soccer program in the spring. Good pool and sauna. The only thing is the size of the weight room. There just aren't enough benches and squat racks. On really busy days it can be annoying. Could be more bench presses.

Experiencia negativa: Keep your kids away from the swim classes. They don't keep the same instructors every week. There is no way that a toddler can build a relationship with a different person every week.

Experiencia fantástica: We love the Patrick Henry YMCA. We typically go to exercise classes four to five times a week. The walking track is fabulous as is the pool. Very well appointed weight room. Super clean and the staff is very friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: While the facility itself is excellent, and the staff is friendly and welcoming, I CANNOT say enough good about Marlo my personal trainer at the Y. Marlo is not only knowledgeable, but listens and was able to easily adapt and develop a workout routine that did not worsen my long term injuries and helped me meet my goals. I HIGHLY recommend not only the Y BUT working with Marlo!

Experiencia positiva: Decent facility and exercise equipment. It could have a bit more stuff though. I can see where they might need to expand the fitness center in the coming years. Only 2 squat racks and 2 bench press benches. One is usually open to use though. The bench press benches are too close together. There should be more equipment for the price. I only go because some relatives go there. They also failed to update that childcare would close early on Halloween causing the same relatives to waste a drive.

Experiencia negativa: The basketball courts are always being reserved for stuff. It's hard to come during a time when they're actually open.

Experiencia fantástica: I love going to the Y. I have loads of fun everytime I go from working out to playing basketball. My kids enjoy going to their own area to hangout with friends and play games.

Experiencia negativa: At 4:25pm on 3/4/23, I was getting my daughter out of the pool, I witnessed a young man, in his twenties and clearly mentally disturbed, attempt to assault an older man. The older man went to the front desk to inform the employee, a short-haired white lady. Instead of addressing the issue, she went in to chat with the person, calling him 'Mathew'. This neglect of duty was particularly concerning as there was a sign on the door warning against pouring water onto the electric rocks in the sauna. As a woman working as a paralegal at a law firm, I am familiar with liabilities and how lawsuits occur, and I felt compelled to leave some feedback on the situation.

Experiencia fantástica: I actually haven't attended a single class or program. I just enjoy the gym itself. It has enough weights, benches, and exercise equipment so that I'm rarely waiting on equipment.

Experiencia fantástica: We had our first baby swim lessons here with our little one. Very easy to sign up and everybody was very friendly.

Experiencia positiva: There is no camera at the parking lot and people's car being broken into and stolen their belongings. I just lost my wallet and a lot of items, plus I have to get my windows fixed out of pocket.

Experiencia negativa: the yoga instructors are qualified and every class has been a great experience. Bathing suits and a plastic floor make the sauna reek of chlorine and petroleum, it’s trash, don’t bother.

The girls ( babysitting) are very nice , patient and kind. I also like the classes that with the membership are very affordable. And The Whole staff are very nice .

With the availability of the pool and special machines like the Nu-step it helps even those with less ability to get good exercise.

The lifeguard was also very friendly and helped my daughters feel at ease when performing the swim test. The Patrick Henry Y seems to be a gold mine of wonderful employees!

I have been working with Mackenzie for over 3 months and continue to be motivated and progress each week. While I have achieved my initial goal and returned to short leisure runs, it is exciting to feel good again.

Experiencia positiva: Good equipment , nice sauna ... the pool is weird as the gangster rap music they were playing had many f""" words as well as M F words , the creepiest thing was camp counselors danced as the little camp kids absorbed the music. Some camp counselors look about 15 as one threw a kid in the pool like he was a basketball.. music can be enjoyed by all types in your home but to force kids to hear this is creepy. I can't help to wonder why they still keep the.name as a "Christian" organization as there is nothing Christian about this place. Good prices and lots to do will help me to forget about the music they force on the young 4 to 8 year old campers, but I can assure you I would never recommend their camp unless it was a camp for dogs but even then I would worry.

Experiencia negativa: I don’t what facility these other people are going to but my experience was awful. Three weeks after joining found a kid videoing me while I was trying weights. Have seen multiple kids ridiculing heavier people working out and staff sees it, does nothing about it. Not interested in paying monthly to be ridiculed and recorded by teens.

Experiencia fantástica: I primarily utilize the swimming pool that offers water aerobics classes each day of the week. But I have friends who are dedicated to various classes, yin yoga, synergy, spin classes, pickleball, you name it. The staff is always friendly and receptive to suggestions or concerns. In other words, I am a very happy member of the YMCA family and hope to begin swim classes with my 3 year old granddaughter.

I see cleaning/sanitizing and safety measures being taken every time I come to the building. Despite all of the extra work for the staff, they continue to smile behind their masks and greet me each time. I appreciate all of their hard work.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve always wanted a membership at the Y and now I’m an adult and have to kids and wanted to get back into shape. Well we went today after getting a membership last night and they will not watch my kids because of Covid. They will not watch my almost 2 year old and my 4 month old. They will only watch kids 2 and older who are potty trained. I understand having a limit on kids in the child watch area but why an age limit. Why am I gonna pay $78 a month to have to go and also pay for a babysitter so I can work out. Beyond upset. We cancelled our membership.

A well-equipped gym, a elevated track above an indoor volleyball court and clean indoor swimming pool. Are you kidding me, this is nirvana. After we joined, we walked around and every staff acknowledged us. Truly the best experience I have had in along time. Experiencia fantástica: I've been working out at the Patrick Henry YMCA for going on two years now, and it has been an awesome experience. With help from DJ, Jake, Kenny, Lisa, and the other supportive and knowledgeable trainers, I've gotten a lot fitter and stronger, and I feel much better about myself. The fitness room is extremely well equipped, and the new rubber floors are a big improvement. I've also met a lot of great people who, like me, hit the gym as often as they can. I think that the YMCA is an invaluable community service, especially for stressed-out college students.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a member of the YMCA for close to 45 years. My dad, Charles R. Ward, was a member of the downtown Y on Franklin for as long as I can remember. He would take us girls, there were 4 of us daughters, with him when he played handball and we pretty much had free run of the facility. It was great fun. Dad was the East Coast Handball Champion for a few years; can't quite remember how many. Anyways, Eventually I joined on my own and have been a member ever since. It is part of my life and daily routine. Hard to get the day started without a trip to the Y. They have so much to offer for everyone at every walk of life. Obviously, I love and believe in the Y.

I get back there to the school where they will be getting dropped back off and my son wasn’t on the bus!!! They left my son at the there at the YMCA!!! Are you kidding me?!?!? Hello!! That’s my child!! How are y’all so family place and forget to make sure all the children are back on the bus!!!! This place is ridiculous!!!! Beyond mad!!! Piss poor of these people!! And all they can say is I’m so sorry!!!! NO! I don’t want your sorry! You don’t do that to anyone!!!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: The PH Y is awesome! There is so much to choose from and all are welcomed. I have taken swimming lessons (finally) and Zumba classes, and TRX classes, and Body Pump classes, and Barre classes, and Pound classes. I've learned that my body can do far more than I ever thought it could! I even tried tai chi but I moved too fast so clearly I am a work in progress. I can't say enough about the positive environment from the clean facilities to the staff that greet everyone as they enter and exit. Keep up the great work!!!!

They made sure sunblock and bug spray was applied and made sure the kids stay safe. Also they taught my kids how to swim with confidence.

Experiencia negativa: So I went to this location today at 4pm and Lawrence the black guy, at the front desk does not know the definition of customer service. I was not allowed access with my family because the computer would not process my card. I asked were there alternatives, and he replied pay all the fees was the only option. I had to pay the late fee or not be allowed in, I refused to pay late fee as it was not my fault. Lawrence said only Jennifer can remove the late and she is not here. On the other note a lady comes by, no card to swipe, as she left it in the car was allowed access no issues. I am confused... but I thought this place was to exemplify love as Christ did...ULTIMATE FAIL!
