Experiencia negativa: My daughter was kicked off the competitive cheer team due to me bringing up how my daughter was dropped for an hour straight. (She’s a flyer) instead of the owner going and helping the group of kids instead she was on her phone. Once I said something about it she then got up got loud and defensive and decided to go back and fourth about the situation, brought other parents into the conversation, etc. She contacted me 2 days later 30 mins before practice through text message letting me know my daughter was kicked off the team instead of saying that to me the whole hr she went back and fourth with me in person at the gym. I raised over $600 for fundraising. The money was never credited to my account and she refuses to refund it. The practice wear we paid for was hand me downs from years ago. We pay choreography fees and had a choreographer one time. Us and several other teams received last place every competition. All the effort is put into Godspeed so if you’re not on that team good luck. Other teams that received first only received that place because they didn’t have any competitors. D’Ann (the owner) favorite thing to say is that she’s the owner like nobody knows. Humble yourself ma’am. She also shows favoritism to all the kids that she coached their parents. So if she didn’t coach you don’t take your child here or you’re not going to be treated equally. Safety is a last priority in this place. Skills don’t matter when it comes to team. Your child can backhand spring and be on a team with someone who can’t cartwheel.

Experiencia positiva: Update- tried it again. Today they were even older siblings, probably the oldest was close to 10. And they were doing flips and tricks on the trampolines with 1 and 2-year-olds on there. The rule of 5 and under is definitely not enforced. Such a bummer because it is a fun cheap activity to do with my 17-month-old. But having older siblings there is not ideal. He was getting bounced way too hard on the trampolines, and the moms of the older kids did not care. This will be a once in a while thing for us instead of a weekly thing like I was hoping. Went for TOT open gym. $5 is a great deal for 1 ½ hours for my toddler to run around and have fun. Unfortunately there were older siblings there today that were definitely over 5 and WILD, kicking big balls around like a kickball, running into everyone, jumping way too close to little ones. The parents were there but clearly weren't paying attention/didn't care. I wish that the 5 and under rule was more enforced- 5 and over does have their own open gym time. We'll try it again, hopefully today was a fluke and next time will be less crazy.

Experiencia fantástica: We have my daughters birthday party here every year. Her and her friends enjoy the play area. The room is a bit small, but not as small as some places I have been too. You cannot decorate too much, except for tables. They let us jam the music as loud as we want and let the kids run wild, respectfully that is. Best birthday parties are held here. And so cheap!

Experiencia fantástica: We are starting our second year of cheer here at Powerhouse, and have nothing but amazing things to say. My daughter loved her first year on an elite team, and learned so much in just one year. She has so much love for the coach’s and made so many friends. This place has become a cheer family, not just a place for cheer or tumbling. One of the best place to learn and grow as an athlete. Her absolute favorite person and role model since starting at the gym has been the owner D’Ann. She pours so much love and dedication into these girls. Tumbling coach Jason has helped her grow so much in perfecting her higher level tumbling skills. And coach Brayden has been one of her favorites as well, he is a flight coach and has helped her take her flexibility to another level and her stunting skills so far in her first year. Cheer has become her happy place, and has brought out her personality. Her team got to experience NCA, and all star worlds. Such amazing experiences

Experiencia positiva: Instructions and instructors are great. Facility (inside) is awesome. My daughter is learning a lot and steadily improving. Kids could be better supervised but they are doing as well as any gymnastics facility. They lose a star for the allowance of profanity by the kids (parents police your kids) and the parents/ drivers inability to observe parking lot rules and regulations. I’m about to the point of sideswiping a few cars that insist on parking in the fire lane and in the middle of the main street. BTW, if I do hit you, you are still at fault.

Experiencia fantástica: We visited Powerhouse Cheer today for a stunt clinic that was going on and my daughter had so much fun. We have never been to this gym and the coaches were sweet and accommodating. I’m not sure they were anticipating the turnout they had for the clinic so the viewing area was a bit crowded but we still got lots of good videos and some extra stunting work in. They never made us feel unwelcome or out of place and offered us chairs when the seating was full.

Experiencia negativa: The director definitely has less than pleasant intentions. I pulled my child due to favoritism. She is quiet and sensitive and they have zero, and I mean zero patience for her. I explained this before I ever signed up and they said it was okay, they'd spend the time with her and do whatever to try and help build confidence. Well, that did not happen. She doesn't act out but needs a little extra explaining one on one (which they said they'd do) or gets quietly upset, shuts down. They just bulldozed her. This place is filled with mean girls - the sort of i thing I was hoping to build my daughter's self esteem up against. The coaches they hire are questionable. Sure they have credibility, I guess until you check out their personal pages. They may as well be posing in uniform for OF photo shoots. I don't want these people working with my 4 year old and sorry, but I don't want a man either.

Experiencia negativa: While visiting the Belton splash pad today with my children, a group from Powerhouse arrived for a field trip. As I observed the childcare director, Ms. Camacho, interact with the children I was certain I would never enroll my children in Powerhouse activities. She was rude and insulting to the children, short and snippy when she spoke at them, and sarcastic. The other "coaches" seemed nice and approachable. When I read Ms. Camacho's bio on the website I was shocked to see she is credentialed and refers to herself as a "childcare professional." Might be time for a career change, or at least a staff one. Based on the faces of other onlookers, they were just as appaled as I.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give no stars I would. Open gym on Fridays are not for 5yr to middle school age appropriate. This was the most horrific thing I've ever seen in my life. Very young girls making out, boys and girls touching each other extremely inappropriate. I heard more cuss words and GD than I have in almost 30 yrs of my life. I do not recommend this place on open gym for young kids. Hopefully license will be involved this place needs to lose the ability to do this. Absolute sickness. Please go with your children there is little to zero supervision.

Experiencia negativa: Just came to pick up my niece and nephew and saw a big crowd outside. The owners locked all the kids outside to eat and this is at 10pm. Who locks young kids outside at 10pm to eat? Like what if something to someone’s kids. This is HIGHLY unprofessional. Someone needs to answer for this. We pay money for our kids to be treated properly. The kids was banging on the door yelling “let us in” to get back inside and they wasn’t letting them in. I am beyond upset.

Experiencia fantástica: Both my daughter and son attend Powerhouse the facility is clean and the coaches are great! They push for a results and participation without being overbearing. Over the last year my daughter has learned how to cartwheel, round off, one hand cartwheel, front flip on the trampoline, and full splits. she's recently joined the pixie show team and I know she will learn so much more. The owner is a part of teaching the show teams - she is invested in the children not just a face behind the company which is something I also love about powerhouse. My son has learned how to do all of the list above, as well as backflips and a back handspring on the trampolines. My kiddos are 8 and 5 yrs old. I Love that their engaged in an activity that keeps them away from electronics after school. I highly recommend Powerhouse for your children

Experiencia fantástica: Ignore the person who is complaining about hip hop music. I cheer here and the coaches absolutely love everyone who steps foot nto the gym. D'Ann, the owner is the nicest person you will ever meet and she is very interactive with the athletes unlike most gym owners. I prefer Powerhouse over any other cheer place I've been to and I've been to 4. A lot of people say that D'Ann is fake and being honest I believed that at first but as I have got to know her I have realized its not an act and she truly loves everyone in that gym like they are her own children. I 1000% recommend for everyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Love the owner, staff, layout of the gym.... basically everything. We would commute 45mins each way 3x a week just to have our daughter tumble here. Just moved back and my daughter can't wait to tumble with them again!!

Experiencia fantástica: We love Powerhouse. My kids do after school and Brianna and Kim are second to none. Kim has always done amazing whenever my daughters school messed up pick up times. I feel very safe with my kids in their care. All star cheer has been a wild ride but D’Ann has always taken my calls and walked me through what I needed to know. This group of folks is amazing and I’m happy with my kids here.

Experiencia negativa: The speaker is next to where you work out. No one listens to the music and the guys at the front have it so loud I can not hear music. So I pay for the gym and pay for my music I can not hear. Two guys that work there do not like to turn down the hip hop music. Maybe the owner will read this and move the speaker or fire a couple of guys at the front desk

We drive from Waco for my twelve year old twin boys to participate in the all star cheerleading program and we have been so impressed. D’Ann (the owner) is an amazing, high energy, loving woman who is incredibly committed to the athletic development and success of her athletes but also their character development as well. All the coaches that my kids have worked with have been wonderful. We highly recommend Powerhouse!

Experiencia fantástica: This is an amazing gym! Christian owned and very family based. They have trained multiple athletes who have went on to cheer in colleges across the nation and even have athletes who went on to win college national championships. They are my second family and taught me everything I know. The coaches are well trained and the facility is equipped with the most up to date equipment. I would highly recommend bringing your child to Powerhouse.
