Experiencia fantástica: Speciality Athletic Training is great! I love how this program is out there for people with physical and intellectual disabilities to get stronger. It also helps with confidence. Ryan and all the other personal trainers make sure to teach you why they do the exercises they do and help adapt them to the person.

Experiencia fantástica: For many years I looked for a special needs gym class for my daughter but never had luck. Until now! Specialty Athletic Training in Bend is amazing! The owner of the program, Ryan is very helpful and made the whole process of getting started in the program very easy. Which I appreciated. My daughter has only been there once but is anxiously waiting for her next class! She really liked her Coach Luke. He is great at what he does and makes the workouts fun. Which my daughter liked. All in all, I highly recommend this program to anyone that has a loved one with special needs! Thank you, Ryan for creating this program for the special needs community!

Experiencia fantástica: Holy smokes, this company is amazing! Ryan is friendly and helpful explaining the great work they do and how to get your child/family member hooked up. Luke (at the Bend location) is so great to work with. He is patient, flexible and creative with my two autistic boys (14 and 8). He keeps the workouts fresh and fun and my boys love it! I’m so happy to have this service available in Bend.

Experiencia fantástica: Specialty Athletics has had such a positive affect for our adult son, Matthew. He has wanted a workout coach for a long time and that is hard to find in our small community for a "special " person. Doing the workouts online has been very effective because he feels like he IS a part of the group and he likes that . The coaches have been very responsive to all the participants in his classes even though they are at all different levels of strength and communications. Also, the whole Staff/team of support folks have been very responsive to anything I bring to them that would help our son. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SPECIALTY ATHLETIC TRAINING!

My son, Logan, has been working with Specialty Athletics for the past several years and it I can honestly say it has been one of the best experiences. Logan has Cerebral Palsy with cognitive delays; he is not a fan of physical activity and has challenges with social interactions. Coach Ryan has demonstrated patience, understanding, and created a welcoming environment that has provided Logan with an enjoyable experience. It’s a credit to Coach Ryan’s skill set that Logan loves going to his workout every week. Coach Ryan understands the parameters of each of his clients' physical limitations and how to expand on their natural abilities while still encouraging exploration of new physical skills. Specialty Athletic Training doesn’t just offer physical fitness training, it offers my son a safe environment where he can gain social skills while being physically active. We cannot recommend Specialty Athletics enough and highly encourage any family with a child with disabilities to give the program a chance.

Experiencia fantástica: We so love going to Specialty Athletic Training with Ryan! My son experiences Down syndrome and with that comes a need to have someone show him how to workout safely. He also has raised liver enzymes and working out with Ryan has helped his numbers come down. Jacob’s younger sister gets to go also to encourage and help her brother stay motivated. When the shut down happened Specialty Athletic Training easily transitioned to online and kept Jacob on the path to health. We appreciate them so much and feel so blessed that we found them! Experiencia fantástica: My son, Jack, has been working out with Ryan Lockard, Specialty Athletic Training, for two years. Ryan pushes Jack to work hard, while also having fun. It’s obvious that Ryan genuinely cares about Jack. He’s a friend and mentor, often showing support at Jack’s wheelchair basketball games, rivaling Jack in video games (outside of training sessions), helping Jack to set and work toward goals, and being a great role model. We are incredibly thankful for the our relationship with Ryan and Specialty Athletic Training.

He possesses a natural style of genuinely connecting with youth, demonstrating his belief in their ability to strive and improve, and his passion for inspiring them to get stronger and reach higher is inspiring to watch. He has done amazing things for our ADHD son, who loves his workout time with Ryan! I cannot recommend Ryan highly enough.
