Experiencia positiva: Staff is nice. Obrien is always working on getting new equipment. It has everything you need for any level lifter. Tons of classes that should be utilized to be the best you.

Experiencia negativa: Throughout my time there I have gotten very nasty comments from workers when I wear any top that shows my stomach. When I’ve seen others wear the same or similar tops, as well as men in cutoffs. Last time I worked out there was today. I will comply with gym rules but the inconsistency is crazy. Some workers have even told me “you look great” when wearing a top that shows my stomach & back. Others have told me to “cover up that’s inappropriate”. Crazy in 2025 women are being told to cover up.

Experiencia fantástica: We LOVE The O'Brien Center ~ YMCA. A great clean place to work out, walk, sauna's, child care, classes, soup night and more. This place is all about family, connection, and great for us older adults as well. Also a warmimg center. This place is a great place for community and has so many activities for the children as well. The grounds are beautiful, lots of flowers and nature too. Great place !

Experiencia fantástica: I am surprised that I had no idea this place existed 2 months ago, and this is even where the YMCA is! I should have known. The Y is perfect. It is nestled inside the O'Brian Park which is also perfect. Could this be the prettiest YMCA around?

Experiencia positiva: Fairly decent place to workout. Most of the equipment is older but still serviceable. Cardio machines are slightly more modern than the weight equipment and machines. They are missing a few key pieces of equipment that would take it up a notch (i.e. hop extension machine). One of the only places with a dry heat sauna and they've just remodeled including putting a new sauna in. One of my biggest complaints is that the showers get lukewarm at best despite management being told by me and others.

Experiencia positiva: O'Brien Center is a really good basic gym. They have all the cardio equipment and free weights / machines needed to stay in great shape physically. The staff is friendly and do a good job keeping things clean. The prices are reasonable as well.

Experiencia negativa: I used to love this place, especially the fact that I didn't have reoccurring charges and could pay when I could or had to but now, since the ymca unfortunately came into play, that changed. Now the prices are higher and they HAVE to have you on reoccurring payments which I called to try to talk to someone about, got told I would be given a call and haven't heard from them since This place used to be great but now I will no longer return and don't wish to go to any ymca affiliated establishment.

Experiencia fantástica: Its a really nice gym, there doing a lot of remodeling to expanded the facilities they offer all sorts of different classes, even if its raining come on in and walk a few laps just to unwind and clear your head. Check them out everyone is friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: I've only ever used the gym, but I've always been very happy with it. Please note that the gym is relatively small, and it does get quite crowded during peak hours. I always try to go either right after it opens in the morning, or right in the middle of the day, like around 11am or noon, to avoid the rush of people. The equipment is very nice and always clean. Any complaints that I may have with the size of the facility is more than made up for by the friendliness of the staff. All the staff members are so enjoyable to interact with. They are always willing to talk to you about anything or to help you out with anything. Often they'll make an effort to talk to you and make sure you're having a good day too. I've been to gyms that have friendly staffs, but this gym has by far the most personable and joyful staff I've ever seen at a gym. The locker rooms are in the basement, which is a little bit of a hike, but they can't really do much about that since the building used to be a school. The bathrooms are always nice and clean. I've never participated in one of the workout classes, but I see them going on all the time, and it always looks like the people in them are working hard and having a great time. If you're looking to go to a gym where you don't ever have to talk to anyone, you might want to look somewhere else. This place is cozy and very social. I always have had a wonderful experience working out here. If you don't mind sharing a machine with someone every now and then, it's an excellent choice for a gym!

Experiencia fantástica: O'Brien offers a lot of different exercise classes. As well as a gym where u go can and work out on many different machines. The bathrooms here have always been clean and don't smell terribly. The gym is nice. And tge voy basketball program for little kids is a nice affordable program if you are looking to get your kids into a sport.

Experiencia fantástica: I know a lot of reviews are about the workout facility but we have never used that part of the O'Brien Center. We have taken our young children here for basketball classes and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The class was fun and engaging. The people leading the class were kind, energetic, and they handled the various mishaps quite well. If you're considering checking out the various activities for your kids, don't hesitate. It's great!
