Experiencia positiva: Solid and varied equipment, it's just a matter of waiting for anything to be available. The gym really needs to put a cap on memberships. The only time I've been there and it wasn't packed was 30 min before close, and I don't even know what this place looks like during peak hours. If you have to drive here, get a membership somewhere else, because the parking lot is always full, and so is all the street parking (unless you want to pay for a metered spot). It would be a great gym if it wasn't always overpacked.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a new member of this Y but after just 3 weeks I can honestly say this is the best run and cleanest Y I have ever used. I don't understand the upset reviews for this location as I have had only positive experiences here. The equipment is well maintained and relatively new. It can get fairly busy at certain hours but the activity and excerise offerings are great and the staff are friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place to work out! I love the lay out of the weights area. There's plenty of cardio equipment to use, even when the gym is really busy. The classes are awesome, but they're very busy, so reserve them quickly.

Experiencia positiva: 4/5 It's Clean, and the staff is the best. They do care. The only issue is parking, usually around peak hours. There's been a few occurences where I had to skip a visit because I didn't have 30 mins to circle the block. Not terrible, just a minor annoyance. Other than that, this place rocks.

I primarily use the pools which are of excellent quality! The water does NOT reek of chlorine like so many others nearby. I highly recommend a membership!

Experiencia fantástica: I just joined the YMCA-Burlington! What a wonderful facility with friendly staff and a well laid-out weight room. In the week since I have arrived to Burlington, all gym members have been respectful. Again, wonderful facility.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been loving the Y for a good while. Swimming here has been my refuge from the chaos of life for years, but particularly during the pandemic. I love coming into contact with a wide breath of folks from our community. One time there were three swimmers in the lap pool: a young man in his teens, a middle-aged man, and an elderly man in his eighties. The circle of life doing laps. Of course I’ve had a glitch once in a while, but these are, by and far, surpassed by the good experiences I’ve had there.

Experiencia positiva: Pretty decent. Extremely busy though, so unless the staff is short (in which case it’s common practice to make this plenty aware), the hours need to be extended by a fold… Otherwise, to shorten the hours like they have, they create a bottlenecked issue of overcrowding, which creates more concerns of COVID exposure. Edit: in response to owner, I have adjusted the rating in hopes of reconsideration on their end.

Experiencia positiva: Should be 5 stars because the facilities are great, it’s very clean, good machines and the staff is awesome. The rating is because as someone who’s there 5 times a week it’s pretty frustrating how little parking they have. 2-3 times a week i have to park either on the street where i have to pay or in a parking lot 5 blocks away. It may be the time i’m there, so it’s possible other times of day aren’t as bad, but still.

Experiencia fantástica: After trying several other places for swimming lessons, we tried the Y at their old location and were very happy with the quality of instruction for youth swimming. Our girls have enjoyed their lessons (the lap pool can be a bit cold for our kids) but their instructors keep them moving. We look forward to resuming lessons in their new facility when it opens again. (The workout area is also really nice in the new location).

Experiencia positiva: Nice place, cool employees. Loooots of ego lifting: for the record I don't really care if people grunt or wanna get big or are hardcore , w/e. But slamming down equipment (even barbells) RUINS it. So employees please enforce the slamming weight rules ! There is no reason as to why they cant be somewhat gingerly about it , tune it down bros'

Experiencia fantástica: If you’re a YMCA member in good standing and need a place to workout when you travel, stop by the Greater Burlington YMCA (on the corner of College St and S.Union Street). Didn’t include pictures from the inside but they have an excellent lap pool as well as weights (free and Cybex type circuits) as well as cardio equipment. The staff is very helpful and great at getting you set up in the system if you’re from out of town. They do not have a parking lot so you’ll have to use a meter (25 cents for 15 minutes) or find a parking lot that doesn’t charge you for the first two hours.
