Experiencia fantástica: Great workout environment...not so much of a pick-up joint like the Right Stuff. Plenty of equipment and nice cardio area upstairs. Arie (sp) is one of the trainers who is almost always there. He's very friendly and gives great training advice. Always great to have a friendly face to greet you when you make it in!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been training at Jerry McCall’s gyms since 1983. It was Gold’s then. It has always been the gym to go to for serious bodybuilders in the South Bay. People complain about minor things that are common to such establishments but, in my experience there has never a better choice at such a reasonable price. Unfortunately they may not survive this current pandemic if we don’t cooperate with restrictions. Hang in there Jerry, we need you!

I'm a new member and I immediately appreciated the fact that when I tried the free trial they didn't have an army of salesmen trying to pitch different membership options to me. It was incredibly simple and fast, and they encouraged me to try out different locations to find which suited me the best. There were numerous machines/benches/squat racks, and the music wasn't turned up so loud that it would be bothersome during my workout. I found the people amazing, as multiple fellow gym-goers asked me how I was doing, and were open to having a quick chat in between sets without disrupting my own workout. Ultimately everyone was still very focused and I didn't see many people sitting with their phones hogging equipment.

Experiencia fantástica: Great choice of equipment, a bit crowded depending on the time one gets in. Prices are honest compared to 24h fitness and you don’t get all the bs around it.

Experiencia fantástica: This gym rocks! They’ve got a good selection of free weights and machines. The crowd is serious about fitness. I’m not a fan of gyms where ladies wear perfume and make up- Exercise- not a hook up spot! Sure there are little problems here and there, but fewer than other gyms. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Its now called American Barbell Club. This is a great gym, they have several power lifting stations complete with bumper plates and everything. This is the gym to come to if you want serious weightlifting equipment.

Experiencia fantástica: Been going here for a few years now, the price is unbeatable and the equipment is top notch. It's the ideal place for a body builder type of routine with 6 squat racks and more. The only thing that could be more ideal are more mirrors, but because of the abundance of windows they don't really have a lot of options there.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great facility. The owner of this franchise has multiple locations in Northern California and continually updates/refurbishes the fitness equipment. I especially like the extended early hours that the gym provides (opens at 5:00 AM) for people that like to get an early start on the day. This has been a Gold's Gym franchise (oldest continuous franchise) for 25+ years but the owner is re-branding to American Barbell in April 2017.
