Experiencia fantástica: For the last 4 years I have had the privilege of being a Personal Trainer at Carmel Total Fitness. Let me start by saying I am a contractor to the gym and not an employee, so my positive feedback is truly a product of the positive experience I’ve had, as well as observed with members over the years. It is rare that you will see a business of this size be so consistent and clear. They are always upfront and clear about policies/memberships. They treat everyone equally and uphold consistent policies so that all gym members can have a fair experience. They take into account pricing of surrounding gyms to be fair. Ctf has lots of partnerships with surrounding business/living communities/etc and new members are always inquired on background information to make sure they don’t overlook any of these special prices they are entitled to. If you come to the gym Monday through Friday during typical business hours there is a good chance you probably know one of the two owners. I don’t know many business’s of this size in which an owner is so present and hands on. I realized the importance of this after visiting another local gym and seeing the result of equipment not being properly maintained/cleaned. This is never a problem at ctf as they have structure and the benefit of hands on genuine care from the owner on a daily basis. Finally, I appreciate both of the owners and how they created a positive environment for independent contractor’s to thrive. As one of the owners is also a Certified Personal Trainer and knows what it is like to be on the other end. This means he’s ensured we are offered fair contracts, communication, and structure in this environment. I have never had to read between the lines. Thank you to CTF for everything!

Experiencia fantástica: Went in for a quick tour a little over a month ago. Sean was super helpful and inviting. After some thought about price, I joined the local Planet Fitness to save some money as I form the habit of going to the gym regularly before committing to CTF. After less than a month of going to PF and based on the 15 min or so I spent in CTF for my tour, I can fairly confidently say CTF has much more to offer in terms of environment and equipment. I’m looking forward to trying out the 3-day pass soon to really compare the two and make a more long-term decision. I will update my review after really testing out the facility and all it has to offer. Can’t wait! Update: I finally went to CTF for a workout. Nothing against the facility or staff, but I ultimately decided it wasn’t the best fit for me. The equipment is sufficient if not a little dated. The basketball court is a nice touch as well as the fitness class room which is open when classes aren’t in session. There’s a sauna and bike room as well. The staff is friendly. I also liked the fact that most patrons seemed to go in to workout and leave. No dilly dallying or strutting around like many do at places such as Planet Fitness. With that said, the price difference is too significant for me to ignore and just doesn’t fit my budget right now. I currently pay $10/month. Hard to beat especially for someone like me who can go during less busy times of the day. Paying 3-4x what I’m currently paying just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for me since PF covers the basics and gets the job done. The equipment also seems to be newer and in better shape at PF for the most part. However, if you have the extra little bit of moola sitting around, I do suggest considering CTF. I’m sure the classes are worthwhile for some, and outside of PF, their prices truly are among the best in town for what they offer. If you’re looking for a personable, hometown feel, CTF is the gym for you. I think they’re also adding an indoor pool to their facility. So that’s something else to consider. When you’re shopping around for a gym, at least give CTF a try. I imagine it’s a bit more exclusive (less busy) than other places and truly does have quite a lot to offer if you’re interested in the extras at a gym.

Experiencia fantástica: They have complete variety of weight equipment and well maintained. Even though the cardio equipments are out of date, but they are working great.

Experiencia fantástica: Top notch management and overall great atmosphere to work out in. Trainers are very knowledgeable and care about the clients. I'd recommend this gym to anyone who lives or works in the Carmel area!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going here since they were allowed to open in May. I think they allow a happy medium with the mask wearing. They keep the place very clean and have lots of friendly trainers! I also love that they have a sauna and classes (including spin which some gyms don’t have!)

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a member for a year now and I love this gym. The trainers here are amazing to say the least. I drive 30minutes one way, everyday just to workout here and I can honestly say I would drive further if I had to. Its a great place to workout and I recommend it to anyone thats looking for a place to help them meet their fitness goals.

Experiencia fantástica: Carmel Total Fitness is one of the elite gyms, that is due to it's commitment towards keeping the equipment clean, organized and maintained. During the coronavirus, CTF went above and beyond to maintain and provide a safe environment. The staff was diligent, friendly and knowledgeable, I sought advice from Sean and his son Curran about mountain bikes, they helped me immensely in my search for a bike. I would recommend CTF to anyone looking for a safe, clean and open environment. I thank Scott and Sean for running this stellar gym, I do apologize for always buying the yellow Gatorade.

Experiencia fantástica: The entire staff is extremely nice. The people that lift there are courteous and friendly as well. I came in because Marion County gyms were still closed and you can tell the owner here loves what he does and wants to help out in any way he can. I highly recommend this gym if you live in Carmel or anywhere close.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great community fitness center. Equipment is well maintained, staff is very friendly. It has essentially every piece of fitness equipment you can imagine, and offers a number of classes. There isn't childcare available for those interested.

Experiencia fantástica: Why deal with the crowds and kids at large, corporate chains like LA Fitness when all of your fitness needs can be met at a smaller, locally owned facility? I've been to both the Monon Center and LA Fitness and I greatly prefer CTF. Ownership is friendly and always trying to improve the facilities, they have all the equipment you could need, and you don't have to deal with the gym-bro atmosphere you find at larger gyms. Would be a five-star rating but for a few very minor gripes that aren't worth mentioning, but they do prevent the perfection required for a five-star rating.

Experiencia fantástica: This is such a great gym! My boyfriend and I purchased the Groupon after getting tired of the crowded LA Fitness we were going to before. What I love about this gym is everyone comes to put in work, and no one judges. It is a very comfortable and friendly environment for EVERYONE. Very clean, nice members and nice staff. It’s also never too crowded. Even when it’s busy, there’s always plenty of machines and space for your workout. Will be a member even after our Groupon is finished!

Experiencia fantástica: My absolute favorite gym in Indianapolis! Clean, friendly and all of the right equipment. I do not see many gyms with these style of plates. It is a nice touch. I bought a day pass for $14. That would be my only gripe. It was only $10 or $11 when I went here before. Not sure why the price hike but I believe anything more than $10 for a day pass is too much. Still, I rate the place 5 stars because it is.

Experiencia fantástica: CTF has been a great, locally-owned gym for me for the last 2+ years. Always clean and accessible. The staff is great and the equipment is working or serviced-quickly. The other gym goers are there to workout and provide encouragement, if you get to know them.

Guests enjoy the friendly atmosphere because the gym is staffed by quality people who care about their fitness, safety and overall experience.
