Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to Hicks MMA for eight months and I couldn't be happier. When I started with Coach Hicks, I was four months post partum and had 15lbs that I could not shake. With careful monitoring from Coach Hicks, I have lost the weight, gotten stronger, and I'm in better shape than before I had my baby, all while improving on my BJJ journey and becoming part of an MMA family. I have gone to different gyms around the Carrollton area to train (in boxing and BJJ) and not one measures up to Hicks MMA for the level of skill and professionalism you will experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Hicks is a PHENOMENAL coach and mentor. My son goes here and he has done a complete 180. We have made some amazing like minded friends. We looked at multiple other gyms and they just didn’t have the standard of coaching, mentorship, and training we wanted to instill in our son. His standards are way above the bar of other gyms and the kids he trains are MILES ahead of other kids in other gym. I’ll put it to y’all simple, my son will train with Hicks for life. Period.

Experiencia fantástica: Been going to hicks MMA for almost a year and my child loves it. He ask me just about everyday if he trains tonight. We train 3 days a week. And enjoys every minute of it. Gavin and hicks corrects the kids when they do a move wrong. They make sure they are doing the moves the right way. And if a kid doesn’t understand they will work one on one for a few minutes to make sure they get it will have them train with their partner and watch and coach them through it. Would highly recommend this place.

I’ve been here for almost 4 months now, so I’m still a beginner, but Jiu Jitsu has literally changed my life. My confidence has skyrocketed, and yet at the same time I’m constantly humbled every class by my training partners. Jiu Jitsu enables me to become a better version of myself, not only on the mats but off the mats as well. The lessons that I learn from all the coaches and Professor Hicks at this gym, I can apply to other parts of my life. I think Jiu Jitsu is very equivalent to life. I really like the camaraderie that happens with Jiu Jitsu, I like that I’m learning skills to defend myself, and I like that I’m in the best shape of my life, and I’ve only just begun my Jiu Jitsu journey. I highly recommend Hicks MMA to anyone and I encourage Jiu Jitsu for everyone. It’s a really fun way to stay active and get in shape! Experiencia fantástica: I've been training here a little over 2 years. I had no previous martial arts training at all. Coach Hicks, with the help of other advanced coaches and students, really helped me develop not only a passion for the sport, but a level of physical fitness and mental strength I would not have otherwise been able to attain. I was slightly apprehensive at first joining a gym with not many other female members. Everyone in the gym is courteous and keeps the training centered around jiu-jitsu or boxing. I've never felt uncomfortable in any way. I would recommend Hicks MMA to anyone who wants a fun, alternative way to get in shape while also learning helpful life skills.

Great attention is paid to the advancement of the children's skillset and constantly encouraged to work hard and do their best. Experiencia fantástica: I've had the privilege of taking private lessons for many years with numerous high level instructors in Boxing, Muay Thai, NOGI grappling and BJJ over the last 13 years. Coach Hicks is by far the most caring and knowledgeable teacher that I've ever encountered. Your kid have to work hard to get even a stripe! Marcus is an awesome coach who reaaaaly cares about progress. Coach Hicks is very warm and caring for your children. He teaches them respect and life skills along with the jiu jitsu / boxing of course.
